Pizy 18,994
5 minutes ago, whats happening said: fofana is the new rice. Difference here is that Leicester desperately need the cash AND the player has expressed desire to leave. Wet Spam have this deluded ambition to break into the top 6 and throw lots of money around to try to realize that ambition. At least we have a chance at signing Fofana whereas Rice is never going to happen until the final year of his contract. Fernando

We wouldn't need to worry about productivity with the former. Just look at what he did with a dire side last season. 1 hour ago, Gundalf said: Gladly, hes one of my dream signings, and Tuchels too ig, but he just doesn't wanna leave Barca, he will stay unfortunately, no matter what. Broja hasn't even had a chance to lead our line yet, how can you say that? If our only options are Auba and Ronaldo, I say we stick with what we have until a suitable long-term option becomes available. Both are past it egotistic toxic players who would cost a lot of money. Rotate Havertz, Broja and Sterling in that position, use a fluid attack where there is no out-and-out striker unless Broja is playing. Let the whole team chip in with goals like they have been doing for a while now ever since Diego Costa left. We won the CL this way. Of course it would be better to have a striker that actually performs and fits the team, but I don't think they are it. Having said that, I wouldn't mind either IF they wouldn't demand high salaries, would join on loan or for a short time, would accept not being automatic starters and wouldn't cause any trouble if benched or if we're going through a tough time. When he has finally got on the pitch he's been dressed as a ghost or he's just invisible. 2- he's too young no CL or EL experience at all no big game experience, not to mention the fact he's shown nothing to suggest that he can lead the line from his loan spells. If we really want to even have a sniff at man city, we need a world class number 9 and a world class midfielder. Broja is academy so makes it a little harder to say it, but as it stands right now he isn't the right man for the job. bigbluewillie and manpe

Both bad egos both want big money... we need a striker for the future oshimen is a brilliant shout, but in all honesty who can we realistically get now at this stage. What ever we do we will piss money away regardless.
King Kante 1,643
In no shape or form should we be going anywhere near giving Barca £20m for PEA. Absolute lunacy if true. Blue Armour and bigbluewillie
Popular Post! Thor 2,745 Posted August 17, 2022 Popular Post! Share Posted August 17, 2022 Sometimes the reality is you don't get anyone and wait for a good option to come along. There really isn't anyone on the market that is standing out as a must buy to lead the line. I'd rather have a stop gap season where we are a cup team and look to load up if something presents itself over the next season. CF is something we have gotten wrong far too often, so best to take our time and find someone that really fits the team. Tuchel is getting far too much blame on here. Came in for half a season and won the CL. Incredible. Then was managing through a season where a club was in limbo with just being able to get supporters into the stadium let alone worry about transfers, and he doubled down and says he is with Chelsea all the way. The man hasn't even had time to build out the team he wants and he has already taken us all the way. Literally came in and accomplished more than Pep could with no where near the organisation or budget. Y'all are some deadset haters if you see it any other way. Let the man build over the next 2-3 years. Klopp was given the time, so should TT. robsblubot 3,595
Yeah maybe a 2nd tier younger striker is the way to go atm. Like a Matheus Cunha, but he's now on united's radar - gotta act fast with young strikers. He's more like a classic 9, but also hard working. He's not going to get you the numbers first season, but could deliver good performances and act as a backup for Kai. At this point just hope 33yo Auba isn't being seriously considered. But I guess since Clockwork says he’s been bad it must be true. 🙄 I know you are lying to yourself, just ask yourself if you would be happy if this the typical performances from Sterling. For me i wouldn’t be happy. Just checked Whoscored, they gave him a 6.5 average performance for his first two matches. Which is fair. All of highlight is him running into space. Boycie
