cosmicway 1,333
Haaland destroyed West Ham today. I never understood why we lost this player. Last summer ok, Dortmund were not letting him go, but this summer why were we beaten hands down by Pep ? Was Haaland so inamorato with City ? I read somewhere that ... Chelsea scouts suggested he was going to flop in the premier. In what state were those scouts ? Drunk and incapable ? Once he spoke with Pep and City’s hierarchy gave the green light there’s no way he was ever going to come here. We got lucky that the City board said no to going big on Cucurella despite Pep wanting him. Haaland was always going to go to a well oiled machine of a side as his post Dortmund move. Not a side in transition like us. If it wasn’t City it would have been Bayern. Fernando and OhForAGreavsie

City announced Haaland before our new owners were even confirmed so even if we hadn't signed Lukaku and tried laying groundwork for Haaland it would have been scuppered by the sanctions. Fair play to City they took full advantage of the situation. Fernando

Real Madrid, for sure, Benz is soon 35yo and even he is going to not maintain current level for that long plus, Håland and Mbappe will both end up at Real someday (within the next 3 or 4 years max is my prediction)

Something that tuchel incapable to convince us even for almost 2 year in here. Our attacking play in too many matches is still really dross, seeing our team only able to create chances from wingbacks is sad You want Bielsa instead of Tuchel because you think our defense will be fine by just having quality players? I guess you've forgotten how Lampards Chelsea leaked 4 to 5 goals a game with the same defense Tuchel inherited. Or how Bielsa's Leeds leaked goals for fun. Is it because of his age? Maybe Tuchel wanted one really young CB since we have Koulibaly and Silva. Or just his playing style.
