Seeing reports saying we're planning an ambitious scoop for Gavi...

They have officially run out of players to link us with.

because he is in his last year, his release clause went up to €100m (£84m) from €50m

Gavi's release clause changes to 100m euros

There are ongoing negotiations over a contract renewal

https://www.marca.com/en/football/barcelona/2022/06/13/62a73b9be2704e1ea98b4574.html

Gavi and Barcelona have been negotiating over a potential contract renewal, but there has been no agreement between the two parties thus far.

Meanwhile, the Spain international has attracted interested from several European clubs and it is believed that Premier League giants Liverpool and Manchester City would be willing to trigger his 50 million euro buyout clause.

However, there is a deadline concerning the validity of this clause, as it will increase to 100m euros this June, as stated in the contract he signed in September 2020.

Despite the fact that Gavi's progress has been spectacular over the last year, there would not be many suitors willing to pay 100m euros for the youngster.

Fair enough. Likewise the doom and gloom brigade should be called out if things go about as can be expected so a 3rd or 4th place finish with around 75 points give or take a few.

And even if there is some 'down tooling' from certain players, Tuchel is not going to be blameless either.

I want you to be right. Just don’t see it.

I so hope he fucks them HARD

But...

Barcelona president Joan Laporta says there is a "strong possibility" Manchester United target Frenkie de Jong will stay at the club and he will "do my best" to keep the Netherlands midfielder, 25. (CBS Sports)

it's fucking laughable

Something just doesn't add up with all that Kounde situation

Well it kind of does. TT didn't want him/wasn't completely sold.

Only reason people believe it is more is because it appears lots of people believe wanderer is put in front of the on twitter and swallow happily without any questions.

This would genuinely be hilarious as my understanding of La Liga FFP rules is that they cannot lever their way out. Want may be interesting is that he (FDJ) could become a loan option.

Yeah, don’t tease me with Michy and Barkley rumors, that’s not fair!

Everton are desperate but surely not that desperate. That said, they do love buying dross.

No Chelsea player here, unsurprisingly.

Golden Boot doesn't mean nothing. I prefer to win trophies than have someone with the Golden Boot in the squad.

If Depay is the answer, I do not know what the question is.

Skriniar is always the priority in defense for PSG. But as long as Inter doesn't lower their demand, deal won't move forward.

insane we are not making a move for him when all they want is around £58.8m

TRUE @ChelseaFC is interested in Frenkie de Jong (25) if N'Golo Kanté (31) doesn‘t sign a new contract (at the moment til 2023). Bayern is not interested in de Jong for this summer @FCBarcelona

Because its a forum and she's entitled to her own damn opinion, don't have to like it! But she can post what she wants as can you.

Fair enough.....everyone is entitled to their opinion....but  why does it always have to be so unremittingly negative....when I first started going to Stamford Bridge there was the joy of the 76-77 promotion season and then years in the doldrums, but I always had hope. We should try and remember that when looking hyper-critically at the current team.

We're at a stage now where we seem to be heading too far down the target list in some positions it may be better for us to explore whether we can bring a player or two in on loan to help this season.

It's not the most ideal scenario but we saw last year with Saul if they don't work out then the commitment hasn't been too big. Ultimately the ownership need time to put things in place to really tackle the transfer market and rebuild the squad moving forward. I'd rather us be armed better for future recruitment than wasting money this summer on players that will only end up exacerbating the problem we're in right now with too many squad players we can't get rid of.

Some people have mentioned Depay. I wouldn't be dropping money on him, but I wouldn't be opposed to taking him on a season loan and exploring that deal next summer if he's been a success. Barca might have to move a couple of players out on loan just to free up some wages.

His contract expires in 2023 though. Fair price would be K2 type money.
