It isn't as if he is Zouma esq on the ball or is last ditch defender, which is reassuring. If he manages to keep his pace it will be a huge bonus.

Yep. All sources in the Italian front seem to be saying done deal.

Now let us hope this is a nice, simple transition for him in the PL. Has every single quality you’d want in a CB.

of all available cbs this window even a slightly over the hill KK is still the best with skriniar a close 2nd

schlotterbeck, Süle or mdl would have been more viable long term options but in terms of who adds the most quality right now, there can be no other way.

Not only do Koulibaly and Sterling walk straight into our strongest XI and instantly make us stronger on paper, but they both bring elite, leadership mentality.

Whilst some circumstances seemed to conspire against us last season, I don't think it's been lost on Tuchel how we fell apart in December (and Tuchel will know full well at the very least we'd suffered the same fate the year before which led to his own appointment) and the drop off in standards towards the end of the season when the club seemed to be spinning wheels and just wanting to see the season out. 

He's bringing in players with a lot of experience and leadership who are primed to come in immediately and make an impact. Personally pleased about both.

If we can get 1 more attacker who provides goals in addition to KK, Sterling, and I guess Aké, I see no reason why we shouldn’t enter the season thinking title push. A depth signing at fullback would be the cherry in top.
 

We definitely won’t be favorites but if we can keep our key players fit (namely the fullbacks) we have a first XI as good as anyone in Europe and a very deep squad.

That's the thing, his experience in PL is for Bournemouth level not city, or ours. He was also *way* behind the pecking order for a reason.

While I don't personally see any ball-playing skill in him, I think they made a bet (given their CB issues) that he would improve and would adapt well to their possession system -- neither really happened, so now they are trying to push us to make a similar bet, which makes no sense given that it's no longer the same bet. It's really a question of "why him?" and why pay this much if he's so unremarkable? 
Wouldn't surprise me if this was tied to the sterling deal tho.

I haven't seen much of Koulibaly, what's his speed like? He's getting older now so I hope we don't offer him too long of a contract. 3 years + 1. I've read he's in very good physical shape though, so hopefully he can be similar to Silva (who I admittedly thought would flop in the PL)

I personally think he's better than Rudiger. Obviously Rudiger has proven it on the big stage in the PL but physically KK is world class. I think it's a great signing and immediately makes us better. Maybe we might not even have to play three in the back all the time. Speed is still there and he's rock solid defensively. 

Top signings in KK and Sterling. Would love a midfielder or hopefully Gallagher takes the next step. Think MF is an area that's not talked about enough because we really got exposed there last season.

He’s no Rüdiger in terms of pace but who is? He’s very athletic and can get about just fine. He’s not going to get twisted in knots like Harry Maguire or anything.
