Chelsea Transfers

Chalobah is a solid player who can come in as a rotation option against lesser opponent, in earlier round cup competitions, or if someone better is injured. He is not yet good enough to be an undisputed starter for a team with title ambitions.

This “don’t buy anyone an just stick with what we have” stuff sounds nice, but it’s basically just giving up on doing anything special this season.

So long as Tuchel is prepared to use them and show faith in them in a similar way to what he did last year with Chalobah, I'd happily see them improve the squad depth.

We have to move away from just buying for seemingly the sake of it. If better players are available next summer, we have to learn to show patience and put ourselves in the frame for those players next summer. The perfect example of this in recent times is buying Lukaku instead of waiting to throw our name in the hat for Haaland (not taking the sanctions into account).

We've signed two quality players so far. If the stars don't align then we potentially have the likes of Broja, Colwill, Gallagher, Ampadu to come in this season and make an impact. It's not as doom and gloom as people are making out. If Arsenal or Spurs were signing the latter players they would be happy and knowing our fans, we'd be having a fit because they're being active in the market. We're fortunate that we have some promising talents who could make an impact in the team this season having gained experience last year.

News about Koundé

The Frenchman finally travels to Lagos with the team.

It was his decision not to exercise alone.

The negotiation with Chelsea is still hot.

Absolute bollocks.

He joined the team because he’s waiting on Barcelona the fucking cunt. This is genuinely Raphinha 2.0.

Chalobah started both cup finals against Liverpool and helped to keep a clean sheet across 4 hours of football against arguably the best attacking team around.

Not sure about how his skillset would work in a back 4, but as a RCB in a 3 I definitely feel he has the ability to play regularly.

I think this coming season the target realistically is top 4 and to keep building. Anything better than this would be a welcome bonus.

The going to join up with Sevilla thing not effecting our negotiations sounds like horseshit. If the deal was super close to Chelsea he could join up with us and not miss more than a couple of days training.

He’s doing a Raphinha and biding time for Barca to put together a bid.

We have several, the other aspect is we have Colwill. We have options.

I dont see top CBs after Kounde. Kimbempe does not want to leave, Gvardiol will have big price tag, Pavard/Upamecano lol
I would move on and focus on sells and one attacker. We are still shit there.
Change formation for 4 at back and try K2-Silva/Chalobah. Colwill and Ampadu stay.

The club really should learn from the Raphinha situation and just give the fucker till midnight today to make a clear decision whether he'll join or not.

If yes, complete the deal within the next 24 hours.

If he hesitates, tell him he's free to wait for a Barcelona bid that may never come and the Chelsea offer isn't on the table anymore. Enough of this waiting around, the season starts in two weeks.

That's the deal...

Its not funny anymore....I don't even give a fukc if a player rejects or doesn't want to play for us....I can't cope with Lukaku situation again next season....move on Raphinha and Kounde though good doesn't want this transfer paparazzi....

Never, EVER again should we table a bid until the player himself gives their word that they want to come. It makes us look like total amateurs and a small club.

Looks like two identical chains of events now. Bid massive money, agree with the selling club, player himself finds terms acceptable, then the player decides on Barca.

DO NOT BID FOR A PLAYER WITHOUT THEIR IRONCLAD COMMITMENT TO MOVE TO Chelsea!

Not to say Kounde to Barca won't happen but how the fuck can Gerard Romero not have a clue that Kounde was going to Portugal, but suddenly he knows all the ins and outs.  He's a waffler.

Sevilla's number 1 source still claims we are exchanging documents and he has travelled simply to not be on his own training; and is awaiting news from his agent re. Chelsea deal.  So lets see
