Rodrygo Goes Fails to Convince Xabi Alonso and His Future at Real Madrid Is Uncertain

Rodrygo Goes future at Real Madrid is increasingly in doubt. His performance has significantly declined, just as other players are stepping up and making their case for a starting role. His cold demeanor, apparent lack of character, and a seemingly complacent attitude don’t align with the competitive DNA of Los Blancos. While his technical quality is undeniable, his inconsistency and tendency to disappear during key moments have raised concerns among fans and the coaching staff alike.

A Disappointing Display in Xabi Alonso Debut

Rodrygo hadn’t played a single minute since April 26. He returned to action against Al Hilal in the Club World Cup, in what was Xabi Alonso debut as Real Madrid manager, but delivered another lackluster performance. While he had been untouchable under Ancelotti, Xabi is evaluating players based strictly on their contribution to the team. Apart from a brilliant through ball that led to Gonzalo opening goal, Rodrygo offered very little on the pitch.

The Fans Are Turning Their Backs

Madridistas are growing weary of Rodrygo. His public comments about potentially leaving the club, along with meetings between his father and other teams including Manchester City have not gone over well at the Bernabéu. According to AS, Arsenal have been in contact with Rodrygo camp for some time. Other media reports suggest the Gunners are preparing an official offer.

Madrid Won’t Block an Exit, But the Price Must Be Right

Real Madrid still counts on Rodrygo, who is under contract until 2028. However, like any player, if he requests a transfer, the club won’t stand in his way as long as the offer meets their expectations. The rumored $80 million bid from Arsenal would not suffice. Madrid will not sell for less than $115 million, especially considering his $1 billion release clause. Still, his market value has dropped following a dip in form.

Fierce Competition on the Right Wing

Rodrygo situation is further complicated by increasing competition. In August, Xabi Alonso will welcome the arrival of Argentine talent Franco Mastantuono, who will bolster the right wing. “Time will tell, but Franco can definitely start or come off the bench. The plan is for him to be a starter,” said the Madrid boss. On top of that, Arda Güler continues to develop and is being loudly backed by fans who demand his place in the starting eleven a role that directly overlaps with Rodrygo.

What a fucking joke this goalkeeper situation is. “We’re happy with the keepers we have.” Fuck off. Maresca’s seemingly unshakable faith in Sanchez means that we’re essentially forfeiting any idea of challenging for the major trophies before a ball is even kicked.

Saying you’re happy with Sanchez is saying you’re happy to be in a scrap for 4th or 5th again.

Although the Bayern bosses are still waiting in the wings in case the Catalans are unable to fulfil the financial conditions, they are now also looking more concretely at alternatives. According to kicker, sporting director Eberl has Dortmund's Jamie Gittens on his radar - and is said to be in dialogue with the player's side. Is the Bayern boss now serious about the BVB player, who is rumoured to be in negotiations with Chelsea FC? A transfer fee of around 60 million euros - or even more - is rumoured to be on the table. A bidding war with the Londoners could therefore become expensive.

People who say we are miles away from the top, would you say the same thing for Arsenal or City? Because last time I checked only a couple of points separate us. This loss against Flamengo really shouldn't trigger so many people... After 2 rounds all 4 Brazilian teams are top of the group with European teams in it. And again Sanchez is the main topic. On many places he is our highest rated player in this game and rightly so. Misplaced passes? Come on, nothing bad happened out of it, not worth mentioning. He could easily send long and safe balls but Maresca doesn't allow that.

There are too glaringly obvious things that stand out right now at this club, one is the manager and second is the goalkeeper and they both trigger the same conversation. The manager selects him time after time and if you cast your mind back to the mid point of the season, when Sanchez was dropped for Jorgensen after making error after error and ended up making the most mistakes as a keeper, Maresca immediately dropped Jorgensen for one error, then in came Sanchez again as if to say "See we ain't got any better"

Maresca wants Sanchez to play with his feet, the problem is Sanchez can't, he cannot pass the ball out but he's only following his managers instructions but the stubborn cunt in charge won't change his ways. Just look at all this bollocks about the 'inverted' shite we are seeing, the club captain and RB is taking a place away of Lavia/Essugo not because it's Reece's fault, it's because the manager is obsessed with square pegs in round holes and won't go against his fucking stupid massive ego. What we saw the other night was exactly this, players sitting on the bench because he is obsessed with certain ways that quite clearly don't work.

We have been told Maresca gave the green light to the Maignan deal, but once a fucking again the club failed to secure a target the manager wanted, how many times has the board failed to secure a signing that was green lighted by the manager only to fail based on 3/4M. Then the next thing we hear is "The club are more than happy with their keepers" Just another bollcoks press brief, the truth is, the keeper situation is serious now and if we start the season with Sanchez forget top 4, forget trophies and forget challenging for anything.

As for the question about being close to the top.......a million miles away, we are a million miles away from Liverpool a team that has just won the PL who haven't dropped their guard like we did many years ago when we won big and failed to build that summer, and it went south. Kirkez, Frimpong, Wirtz, looking like Guehi, nothing to say they won't fail but by fuck are they not fucking about, see your targets, go for them, agree a deal and BOOM deal done a serious statement of intent and building on success

Sanchez will always be a topic of discussion because he wouldn't start for any other top side, across the major european leagues.

We are from Liverpool..and will be again this season. They've made their signings and not messed about i very much doubt they wont be up there again next season and we'll be back where we were this one.

Even with those players, it won't change.

Do we really need to trial Reece in midfield when Essugo and Santos are available to play ?

Ask Liverpool if it's the same before and after Alisson and Van Dijk ,does it matter if you have a top goalkeeper and defense or not.

Santos and Petrovic will be sold for a profit, it's clear as day.

This inverted nonsense is not in our DNA as a club, our game is counter-attacking football, it has always been that way in the history and it always will be, we are not Barcelona or City to play that kind of football, especially since we don't have top-class players to play that way.

Maybe there is some serious conformation bias going on here, and it's not as obvious as people think it is? I also remember a pundit saying that the reason Spain wouldn't win the Euros with Cucurella at left back.

Here Sanchez is rated in the top 10 goalkeepers in the world, and Chelsea have 3 goalkeepers in the top 20.

Petrovich asked not to be picked for the CWC. Apparently he wants the club to guarantee that he's the number 1 keeper this season, and I don't see anything wrong with the club telling him he has to earn his place.

I'm not saying this to be argumentative, but why do people seem personally insulted by Santos not being picked?

Maybe Maresca, who's obviously seen how Santos has trained, doesn't think he's quite up to speed tactically? He's only been with the squad a short time, and it makes sense that Maresca may prefer someone who's played that position before?

Maresca played a RB in midfield with an abundance of talented midfielders available enough with the bullshit this alone is a sackable offence, you have to be absolutely moronic to do that.
