Walking into a team that was already near the top and needing to make few changes, compared to trying to rebuild an entire team and put in a different approach to the transfer market. Nah, your missing the point again, this isn't about anyone being in a similar situation the point being made is how to get your transfer business done, identifying areas quickly and not spending weeks and weeks haggling over a few million quid then walking away like some amateurish market trader and spending the rest of the window shitting bricks because your targets are slowly drifting away. Walking into a team that was already near the top and needing to make few changes, compared to trying to rebuild an entire team and put in a different approach to the transfer market. We’re not in rebuild mode anymore at all, though. We aren’t Man United who need to replace nearly their entire XI. Liverpool needed a few strategic transfers to upgrade in a few key positions. Same as us. Striker, keeper, LW. Is it easier for Liverpool to do their business because they’re coming off of a title win? Absolutely. But attracting top players doesn’t seem to be our issue. A lot of these big names would likely be happy to join us. Our issue is that our owners/directors are penny pinching and refusing to pay the money necessary to get these top players. They will only spend big on teenagers. We’ve made 1 signing and that was ONLY done quickly because he had a release clause. Otherwise, Liverpool and City both will have made 4 signings before we even got off our asses. Two sides that you would hope our owners have ambitions of competing with this coming season. Thor 2,819
I've honestly never seen a more impatient fanbase than on here. The windows barely been open - and we've secured an area of need - ST. A good player by the looks of it too. LW is the other big need and GK. The LW market isn't spectacular right now and Maignan isn't some must have in my opinion. If the price is right - sure. Calling the group a bunch of penny pinchers won't ever stick considering the amounts spent on Neto, Caceido and Enzo. We're literally one or two signings away from proper competing and acting as if it has to be done today won't make it so. whats happening and Fernando 1
Fernando 6,725
I'm still good in selling Noni, I still don't rate his attitude. As far as getting back up i don't worry about that, this club is good getting a bunch of other targets in that area. Is defense the issue they have, still no top CB.... jernej93 569
Selling Madueke for right price could be a great move. We have Neto, Estevao and also Palmer able to play there. Also this kid from Portugal is coming next year. Rather invest money in new LW or even two of them. NikkiCFC
mkh 759
Chelsea have made an inquiry for Joâo Pedro, who is keen on a move to London. But the Blues will face competition from the likes of Newcastle who are also very keen on the forward. (via@LaurensJulien) Chelsea boss Maresca is an admirer of Aston Villa's Morgan Rogers. (@BBCSport) By buying younger players on lower wages and spreading the payments over long-term contracts, Chelsea's strategy is to unearth new stars and sell on unwanted talent for a profit. Special Juan 28,765
Based on the starting line up tonight do not be suprised if we sell Andrey Santos for big money this summer, Maresca had the fucking audacity to play Essugo last game and can't even give Santos a start today, this coach is a fucking joker man DDA

Pizy 19,280
It may take us getting embarrassed in this competition for these dopes in charge to bring in the necessary quality in super key positions. How many more times do they need to see shit like we saw from Sanchez or Nico Jackson today? Or Malo Gusto transforming from a mega promising and great buy 2 years ago to basically being unplayably poor now? We desperately need a top keeper, a couple of versatile attackers, and a defender who can ensure we never have to play James or Gusto out of position again. A CB wouldn’t hurt either. Don't worry we can flop all we want nothing is changing, no wonder the owners don't feel the heat one bit from the fans when part of our fanbase still deludes themselves were heading in the right direction.
