Arsenal's first choice (only 2 CFs on the planet they would take over him are Håland and Isak, plus if you count him as a CF, Mbappe) is Julian Alvarez. Gyökeres rounds out the 5. They also would probably take Lautaro as 6th.

Don’t know why this Julian Alvarez stuff is even given a second thought. He just moved to Atleti a year ago for nearly 100m. He’s now their best attacker and as a Spanish speaker is probably loving life in Spain. Why on earth would he leave there so soon for one, and why would Atleti even consider selling him? And if they ever did surely it would have to be well north of £100m.

Well this season, he has been quite solid with his fitness. Missed a brief spell in November for around 2-3 games, no more. Other than that has been injury free this season.

True. This was the only pleasant surprise about him though.

Alverez is being mentioned more as a attacker that would warrant a big fee and not be as risky rather than a possibility. Isak is in the same category.

Liverpool fans certainly won’t be able to cry about not being able to compete financially ever again. No more of that cringey shit from Carragher and all the other bitter Liverpool media about how they do things “the right way.” They’re about to have a maybe the most lavish transfer window ever for any club.

That seems stupid low seeing how much GK are warranting and he was the best in the league last year.

I doubt we will get £20m+ for him unless a PL team comes in. Only one who had any links to him were Leeds.

Personally, I would perfer him to both the two here this season but people seem to want more ball playing skills in the GK.

Carragher & co. will still find a way to spin this into a positive and claim that Liverpool did it the right way, through prize monies from winning the championship, etc.

Not like they didn't try before - they just kept getting rejected! Caicedo and Lavia knew better
