City going for ready made stars who will instantly step into their team and make a significant impact. Exactly what we should be doing but instead we will continue to target players who are still at the beginning of their development and could take multiple seasons to reach their potential.

It’s why I expect City to be right back there at the top as title contenders next season whilst we will likely be fighting for 4th or 5th with Newcastle and Villa again.

Nothing is going to change unless the people running this club wake up and start buying finished products.

I agree. If he hadn't come from City's academy, there would be little to no hype surrounding him.

I mean if we were really interested beforehand like the reports say stating long standing interest, why didn’t we sign him directly from City? Like Palmer? Like we tried to do with what do you call him, the fullback, O’Reily?

I don't share this view. He's already getting 10+ goals without service in an Ipswich team, has the aggression, work ethic needed to play up front. I think he's a good striker.

I'm willing to take the bet that Delap will comfortably score 10+ barring injury problems

At United? Where all of their CFs struggled due to poor service? He probably isn’t a better player than what they’ve got and what we’ve got. Different style but don’t think he is going to set the world alight there.

Second season syndrome will hit him too his game isn’t varied enough. He was a surprise first half of this season as Ipswich were in general but his goals and performances have unsurprisingly dried up because teams have sussed him out already.

Emery feels like a wet dream actually. Would take him in a heartbeat.

He wouldn’t leave Villa where he works with his close pal Mochi to come here. Why would you though?

These dipshits have run this club into mediocrity. Maresca probably gets a 5 year contract extension in the summer.

I really have a feeling Delap won’t score more than 10 PL goals next season.

So one says minimum 10 goals other 10 maximum... If he scores 10 who wins the bet? 🤔

I think for a number one striker in a top club around 20 goals should be mark. Jackson had 14 last season and was extremely underwhelming.

So why are some excited over Sesko if he is putting up 13 goals in a piss weak Bundesliga? Jackson has scored more than him... Delap is putting up near identical numbers in a way tougher league and with far less service.

I'm just trying to understand the Sesko love. Below average finisher, not much else to his game...

I think the thing with Sesko is they feel he is potentially going to be a top top level striker. Or thats how Red Bull see him.

Whether or not it happens is a different story but his ceiling is way higher than Delap who is more of a throwback CF, his game isn’t very varied and once you take him out of the equation physically he really hasn’t got that bit of cuteness/cleverness to affect the game in other ways, which you need to be a top CF at a big club. Maybe it happens eventually but I think he will crash and burn at United.

The thing is Jackson could probably of got over 20 PL goals last season if he wasn’t such a braindead footballer who could stay onside and finish the numerous easy chances he got. Probably the same this season.

But he is a stupid footballer, poor finisher and thats why he will never be the main man for any top club with a shred of sense in the building. Which we don’t have. Hence why he is the number 1 CF for us.

Chelsea remain admirers of Alejandro Garnacho and Jamie Gittens.

Chelsea maintain belief in Robert Sanchez.

Chelsea are not guaranteed to bring in a defender, having already signed Mamadou Sarr from partner club RC Strasbourg.

Chelsea are looking to sell a number of current loanees:

- Ben Chilwell
- Carney Chukwuemeka
- Armando Broja
- Axel Disasi
- Kepa Arrizabalga
- Joao Felix
- Renato Veiga.

Usually at this time of the year in the last we’d get super excited because we’d be linked with and end up signing some top players or at least ones most us us could get excited about.

Almost everyone we’re linked with for this upcoming window not only doesn’t get me excited, they actually make me dread what this club is going to do.

I predict right now that we’ll fuck around for way too long in the striker race and watch as all of the best ones go elsewhere. Then we’ll end up settling on a mediocre one and be briefed through the media that he was the main target all along.

And if we end up going back in for Garnacho I’m going to lose it.

I wouldn't be opposed to the idea of going for Eze or Rogers. We need a player to take the creative burden off Palmer - Managers are getting a defender to man-mark Palmer and that's derailing our game- Dan Burn was following Palmer around in the weekend and the team became ineffective for it.

Didn't he flop with Arsenal?

Some managers are good with small team.

Don't want him here, I rather continue with Maresca.

Even if he's considered a flop at Arsenal, he had a good win % and reached a Europa League final with that squad. His English was not good so you'll see a lot of Arsenal players from that era - even Saka say that Freddie Ljungberg was translating what Emery was telling the players. His English has gotten much better now.

In the five years since his Arsenal gig, he's had excellent seasons with Villarreal and Aston Villa.

Mid table team.

Some coaches are good for that ala Moyes.

Bigger team bigger expectations, I have my doubt with Emery.

Don't see a better manager out there other then Alonso that I want this summer. All the others are in the same bracket of Enzo and for that I rather keep him one more season and worry more about fixing the squad.

I still believe that with a couple of fix here and there we will be flying next season.

Now if Enzo is doing bad by November/December time frame next season then I will be all in favor of sacking him.

Both Eze & Roger’s are so integral and important to Palace and Villa that I just cannot picture them being available. Not for anything under an absurd sum like £80m+

Chelsea maintain trust in Robert Sanchez.....wow just wow and this is where the whole thing falls apart. The idiots in charge are allowing this to happen all for the sake of a few quid to get a top class keeper in. And now reports are that Maresca job is safe even if we fail in CL qualification and don't with ECL

This club is honestly fucked.

Not had that feeling since the first window under Boehly. And we likely will not ever again with these.
