Usually at this time of the year in the last we’d get super excited because we’d be linked with and end up signing some top players or at least ones most us us could get excited about.

Almost everyone we’re linked with for this upcoming window not only doesn’t get me excited, they actually make me dread what this club is going to do.

I predict right now that we’ll fuck around for way too long in the striker race and watch as all of the best ones go elsewhere. Then we’ll end up settling on a mediocre one and be briefed through the media that he was the main target all along.

And if we end up going back in for Garnacho I’m going to lose it.

I wouldn't be opposed to the idea of going for Eze or Rogers. We need a player to take the creative burden off Palmer - Managers are getting a defender to man-mark Palmer and that's derailing our game- Dan Burn was following Palmer around in the weekend and the team became ineffective for it.

Didn't he flop with Arsenal?

Some managers are good with small team.

Don't want him here, I rather continue with Maresca.

Even if he's considered a flop at Arsenal, he had a good win % and reached a Europa League final with that squad. His English was not good so you'll see a lot of Arsenal players from that era - even Saka say that Freddie Ljungberg was translating what Emery was telling the players. His English has gotten much better now.

In the five years since his Arsenal gig, he's had excellent seasons with Villarreal and Aston Villa.

Mid table team.

Some coaches are good for that ala Moyes.

Bigger team bigger expectations, I have my doubt with Emery.

Don't see a better manager out there other then Alonso that I want this summer. All the others are in the same bracket of Enzo and for that I rather keep him one more season and worry more about fixing the squad.

I still believe that with a couple of fix here and there we will be flying next season.

Now if Enzo is doing bad by November/December time frame next season then I will be all in favor of sacking him.

Both Eze & Roger’s are so integral and important to Palace and Villa that I just cannot picture them being available. Not for anything under an absurd sum like £80m+

Chelsea maintain trust in Robert Sanchez.....wow just wow and this is where the whole thing falls apart. The idiots in charge are allowing this to happen all for the sake of a few quid to get a top class keeper in. And now reports are that Maresca job is safe even if we fail in CL qualification and don't with ECL

This club is honestly fucked.

Not had that feeling since the first window under Boehly. And we likely will not ever again with these.

True. It’s impossible for me to get excited about the profile of player our club is obsessed with now. Kids or players from smaller leagues that are pure development projects. Taking punts on cheaper talent in hopes that they explode into superstars down the road.

I’m 10x more interested and excited about players we already have on our books coming in with Estevão & Andrey Santos than I am about new signings.

Only way for this feeling to change is a demonstration by the club that they know something has to change. If they go out immediately and splash money on a ready made, finished article #9 like Osimhen or Gyokeres then there will be reason for optimism. If we instead go for yet another Nico Jackson (a raw, project striker) then we may as well resign ourselves to finishing 5th or 6th again and being miles off of City/Liverpool/Arse.

If any of this is true… which I really do believe could be.. WE ARE PROPER FUCKED.

Djordje Petrovic is attracting a lot of transfer interest from within the Premier League and in Europe - and Chelsea might be tempted to sell him before the tournament [Club World Cup] starts.

@NizaarKinsella

Sanchez stays😭😭

Fuck this shit. Honestly, this would be ridiculous.

I mean if we were really interested beforehand like the reports say stating long standing interest, why didn’t we sign him directly from City? Like Palmer? Like we tried to do with what do you call him, the fullback, O’Reily?

Your guess is as good as mine. City have a buy-back option as well, which I hadn't seen mentioned anywhere.

So why are some excited over Sesko if he is putting up 13 goals in a piss weak Bundesliga? Jackson has scored more than him... Delap is putting up near identical numbers in a way tougher league and with far less service.

I'm just trying to understand the Sesko love. Below average finisher, not much else to his game...

Whose we?

My thoughts match yours. I saw enough off him at last year's Euros to see he's just another hyped up player.

City going for ready made stars who will instantly step into their team and make a significant impact. Exactly what we should be doing but instead we will continue to target players who are still at the beginning of their development and could take multiple seasons to reach their potential.

They did sign Reis & Khusanov for almost £70m in Jan. I don't see them as ready made anything.

Getting De Bruyne's massive wages off the books might have the slightest impact on potential business next month.

As infuriating as he is, selling Nico Jackson would be extremely stupid. Having him as a rotation option is the perfect role for him. Or as someone who comes on if we really need a goal and can play together with whichever new striker we sign. Or even used as an emergency wide player. He’s still very useful just not as the main guy.

New #9, Jackson as the backup, and Guiu as the youngster who develops in the lesser competitions. This is the kind of depth we need.

Huijsen is gone, he is signing for Madrid, time to forget about him. Madrid have got their man and will pay in 3 payments

Wirtz could go to Liverpool or City, both wanting a very talented player, while we do nothing.

We will not get rid of Sanchez, him and Jorgensen will still be here next season

This summer already gives vibes of another garbage summer. Look at what others are doing and trying for...Wirtz Liverpool/City...Reijnders City,

Shambles
