Little update from what I'm told- Apparently the big pull in all this has been Reece James, he's been in constant dialogue to get Moises to join the club. Reece has sold the project to Caicedo and has been for weeks.

As it stands now, Caicedo is waiting and is in London and hasn't moved since yesterday. Liverpool will not counter if we bid more and will walk away as the desire of the player is now too strong, Liverpool have been told it is only Chelsea that the player wants. Chelsea have raised the package stakes in the last hours both personal terms and money have been improved we are now working on the financial package to Brighton that will beat Liverpool's bid, this new bid is imminent and if accepted Caicedo will go straight to Cobham.

Caicedo is more transformative for our team than getting two lesser, more inexperienced midfielders. We only have ourselves to blame that its got to this stage.

Its nice to see a player with desire to come here though. Pretty unprecedented for a transfer of this level, a British record fee, for a player to hesitate and wait for the club he wanted to join.
