Colwill ain't going to Brighton they have just bought Igor, it's done-

As for Caicedo, it should simply be make the last take it or leave it offer and if they refuse wave goodbye, that will then force the player and his team to act.

I want Cherkhi here as well

Gallagher is not a CM, there is no relation between Santos and Gallagher and either staying or going has no impact on the other

So what is gallagher ? He certainly isn’t a 10 or defensive midfielder. He would probably be in competition for places with Santos although could play with him too

He is a workhorse attacking midfielder with a goal in him. Just nowhere near as technical as a Felix.

now hear me out… we put up whatever it costs for Mbappe, let’s assume 100m at least. We get him for 1-2 years on insane wages, but maybe it’s enough to get us a league title. We agree with him and Real up front that we will allow sale in future, even putting in release clause specific for them perhaps, and in that deal later they use Tchou or Vini Jr to cut the price to something actually affordable for them. We all end up happy.

Am I fuckin crazy?

Roberto De Zerbi issues a hands-off warning to Chelsea and insists £100m Moises Caicedo will start next season at Brighton... but hints offering them in-demand Levi Colwill could help seal a deal

We really should tell this beardy tw*t to go f**k himself, and make an announcement to the effect that we are never going to do business with them again. Caicedo is a good player but not worth £100 mill

Mbappe ain't coming here without UCL football.

Best case scenario, we "help" Real Madrid with the purchase of Mbappe by offering them big money for one of their midfielders.

It's hard for me to believe that technical director "didn't have clear role", as it's a very clear role. Rather it was hard to manage certain fields as club have put other people in place to manage it anyway and the structure doesn't seem very vertical - it's more of a collective it seems.

Reminds me a bit of what was reported as an owner's first clash with Tuchel, "different views" etc. Maybe modern German football philosophy is completely incompatible with what is happening in this club, and it would be rather sad, as RB's or Bayern aren't bad run teams anyway.

It just seems like Vivell didn't fit in because the ownership group didn't take his advice on the managerial position (he was the one pushing hard for Nagelsmann to take over) as well as signings (he was the one very keen on keeping Felix).

As for Bayern's model, not sure how that would actually work in the PL as they've benefitted from plenty of "low" transfer fee and even free transfers from other Bundesliga sides for quality players over the years.  We all remember the shady Gnabry deal where Arsenal sold him for nothing to Bremen only to find out that Bayern had an agreement in place to sign him for like 8 million within 2 seasons or something along those lines.

Anywhere Mbappe goes other than Real Madrid it’s to use that club as his Real Madrid waiting room for a year. So with that in mind, why would any club other than a Saudi one pay £150m+ to literally rent him for a year? He won’t sign any deal with a club for longer than 1 year surely.

Mbappe will not go to a club that is not in CL. There is no point talking about feasibility.

Vivell leaving is really weird. Even more so than the tuchel sacking. I saw on reddit someone saying that his role overlapped with Winstanley and Stewart, and another saying he was upset about having to answer to Stewart whereas in RB he only answered to the board. In any case, it makes us look like a circus when people come and go like a revolving door.

Why not? You've got 1 year of highly probable decent output, shirt sales skyrocket, media coverage and given he won't turn to trash or get injured, sell him on a profit to recover some of his wages.

I absolutely don't want him here with his attitude, but it would be for us what Felix was supposed to be I guess. On the other hand I doubt he will go anywhere to waste a year. Do you imagine him having Newcastle in his CV for single season during prime years?

As I said, he wouldn’t sign a contract longer than a year. So no, you wouldn’t be able to sell him on. He’d be in the exact position for a new club that he is in now with PSG which is leaving to Madrid in summer 2024 on a free.
