Probably one of Loftus-Cheek, Gallagher, Hudson-Odoi, or Broja. Maybe Colwill too if he is pushing to leave. Can't see Leicester accepting the likes of Sarr, Barkley, Batshuayi, or Emerson.

Don't think Tuchel would let Gallagher go. It was already confirmed when pre-season started that Tuchel was very impressed by his Palace loan and promised him a place in the squad as soon as last season ended. With the other loanees (Broja, Colwill, Ampadu) it's always been about giving them a chance in pre-season and see how it goes but Gallagher's pretty much been nailed on to stay for a while now.

Leicester have been interested in Colwill so him somehow being part of the deal  could be a possibility, either on loan or a permanent move.

Wouldn't be against offering CHO + 50M for Fofana.

No chance we let Conor go anywhere. He’s going to be important.

With Vardy gettin old I could see Broja being used reluctantly. But then we’re unbelievably short up top when we already are light even with Broja here.

That is why they have Daka.

I'm all for letting attackers go, but I'm still yet to see any concrete information about replacements for them. We can't let CHO, Werner & Ziyech go without anyone coming in.

Man Utd are said to pay him £450,000pw which matches his Barca wages. It is hard to imagine Chelsea would do that.

It's crazy to see he's earning that much to begin with. I'm sure his base wage will be similar to Sterling's with performance bonuses to make him our highest earner were he to join.

Letting Colwill go wouldn't make much sense as it would still leave us light at the back even if we got Fofana in return. We would still remain in a desperate need to sign another CB. If we got Fofana our backline would be set for the season with Fofana, KK, Silva and Chalobah, Colwill, Azpi as backups. Depending on how they progress Trev or Colwill could then take over from Silva the season after.

He really isn't that bad. Better than Saar/Emerson/Kennedy put together.

He isn’t even Inter outright first choice at RWB, it is questionable to say he is better than Emerson or Kennedy.

Dumfries as a direct replacement for Azpi in the squad is perfect. That is, if he cost about £20-25m. For the €40m number that has been floating around it’s quite crazy. But at this point we need the bodies.

If we’re going for a versatile defender who can fill in at RWB/RB/RCB though surely Pavard is the more sensible buy than Dumfries? Probably significantly cheaper, too.

Not sold on Dumfries, he's a tireless workhorse up and down that wing and he'd probably get a few plaudits simply due to the shift he puts in but his technical ability and final ball are too inconsistent to be dropping so much money on him.

There's not a huge pool of games there, but from the end of last season (particularly the Southampton and Madrid games) and just watching him in the game over the weekend, RLC is a better option for the RWB squad role this season. He seems a little bit better suited in that position where he has a bit more time and more freedom than he has in the pivot. If a good offer come in for him this summer it would need considering, but otherwise I think we're better off saving our money and utilising him there rather than sinking 40m on Dumfries.

I'm also resigning myself to the likelihood we won't shift 3 of the 4 left backs/wing backs at the club currently to buy an alternative to Chilwell. If this proves to be the case, we'd be better off holding on to Alonso for another season and then letting him leave next summer on a free than sell for a couple of million this summer. If it came down to the other two, I'd genuinely take Kenedy over Emerson.

Get Gvardiol or Fofana and I think we have enough across the back this coming season.
