Pavard should be someone we go for if those fail or even in addition to one of them. I’d much rather sign Pavard than Kimpembe, though. La Liga only introduced the salary cap. Barcelona being in debt is their own fault. Barcelona sold Messi last season but La Liga still gave them some leeway. It took something from the attack due to low quality of our players and our questionable ability to play four at the back. But that rock is almost gone. KK and Silva, great defenders, could well be past it at the highest level. Our biggest improvement in the attack is another past it player. His peak was at City. He will be shadow of himself with our central midfield. Colwill looks he may be injury prone. Conor flourished in a different system. Broja is Southampton level at best. I don't see the logic that we are better with these players. We are worse. Our rock is gone. Major injury blow and we won't survive this time around.
