Barcelona want virtually a whole new 11. Well besides a keeper. Azpi, Kounde, Christensen (already signed), Alonso, Kessie (Already signed), Bernardo, Raphinha, Dembele and Lewandowski. Bloody greedy shits and worse thing is they still haven't registered their free players and paid of some their past and existing players and still looking to add more players...

What are your thoughts on Kimpembe? I think he's a good Rudiger replacement, the best among the left footed options. L'Equipe saying he might move is a good sign and Tuchel knows, appreciates him too

I have always been torn on him

before I go further, I do not believe his listed height of 1.83m is correct, I think he is taller (which is rare, as usually the heights are artificially raised up) I would peg him at 1.85m or even 1.86m

he is easily taller than Thiago and Marquinhos

now...... on to my opinions

One minute he can look all worldie, and the next look a bit clueless (or rash, he has a temper on him, although Rudiger proved a temper , if harnessed, is a great thing at times)

Presnel is too inconsistent at times

he SHOULD be a top 10 CB, as he has all the tools, but he just doesn't put it all together often enough atm

perhaps he can still do so, although he turns 27 on August 13, so not a lot of time left to sort it

that said

I would do a dance IF he bought either of these three CB combos

De Ligt and Kimpembe

Škriniar and Kimpembe

I don't understand Barca in this year's market at all. Is there any explanation given for why they are in the market for Kounde, Raphinha, Lewandowski. Its not like they have awful players - they do have Auba, Dembele who wants to re-sign, in the same positions, they signed Christensen too.

Why are they not using the transfer fee money to instead pay their existing players?

Other than Ake, I think Kimpembe is a risk worth taking, albeit i would prefer gvardiol or ndicka for that left footed LCB role.

As you say, Kimpembe has moments of absolute horror like when singlehandedly volleyballed PSG out of the CL vs ManUre.

But him leaving is conditional on PSG signing Skriniar but I can see Kimpembe working fine alongside Silva as well.

What would people make of this squad after the Summer window:

GK: Mendy, Kepa/GK2, Bettinelli

CB: MDL, Silva, Ake, Trev, Colwill

WB: James, D.Sterling, Chilwell, Emerson/Maatsen

CM: Kova, Kante, FDJ, Gallagher

AM: Sterling, Mount, Werner, Puli, CHO

CF: Havertz, Broja

Personally, I am not a fan of Ake but can see him as a obtainable player.

Would indeed be a masterclass if we could send Jorginho + cash to Juve for De Ligt and then replaced him with De Jong to reunite former Ajax teammates. Two key areas of the pitch sorted for 5 years or more.

But with no English reporters corroborating this latest link it reads entirely like a Barca briefing to speed United up.

Juve don't do swap deals anymore, hence why Jorginho is being talked up as a separate deal.

Still skeptical about the link on De Jong given it is coming from Romero. Most likely he is trying to get United to act on De Jong as I am willing to wager Barca's hopes on getting both Lewa and Raphinha lie on selling De Jong.
