Since a top striker doesn't seem to be possible this summer it seems reasonable to invest in a good young CB and DM now, since we have a bunch of aging players in those regions

The option of driving down the fee with a player could be very good for us given the abundance of players we still need to try and move on.

Anyone know Sevilla well enough to be able to suggest who could be realistic to push their way? Obviously wages is a big consideration, but Sevilla should have a pretty decent pull for players and can offer Champions League football too.

I would have been fine with this window even if we signed no one of Note if we just stayed away from dregs but this kounde rumours show we the Board has learned nothing and it will be 2017 all over again. Kounde will be a massive bust

If City, United, Chelsea, Spurs, Real and Barcelona are after you there has to be something?

Regardless of if he will be a success or not, its quite the stretch comparing buying the top rated defender of la liga with the likes of Drinkwater and Bakayoko.

Bakayoko was the top rated DM in Ligue 1 the summer we bought him. Kounde is just not made for PL can't believe no one else sees this.

Which wouldn't have been in the last couple of hours. So once again we have a situation where we've heard next to no links with a player, nothing from the trusted, reliable news sources and then when things do break they are already seemingly in an advanced situation.

It's the exact reason why people shouldn't be getting so worked up about the lack of news and links in recent weeks.

He was good but not top rated, Fabinho at that time was rated higher than Bakayoko.

City tried hard for him last summer. Monchi explained here why they rejected great offer. Kounde also said that he spoke to Pep.

They also wanted KK. Ruben Dias was only a 3rd option and now player of the season.
