They have already played together in Marseille and apparently biesla thinks highly of him

Yes, they did. It was Michy's first season at OM. He played mostly as an impact sub though. Gignac was the starter at the time.

For me personally I would love to see Leipzig's CB Upamecano wearing Chelsea colors. He's one of, if not the best young defensive center backs in the world.  Furthermore,  IMHO, Sergio Reguilón Rodríguez is a better option than BC at Left Back.

Make the moves. Stop trying to build out so much with the englishmen!

Sarri wanted Kepa at Napoli.

I didn't say the manager had no voice, I said that their voice was one amongst many. For sure, they will put forward ideas but if that is what they are given is another matter. Kepa could potentially have been a Sarri signing, but it would've needed sign off from a number of others to be agreed. It is why I think Conte went crazy, he likely said Lukaku is No.1 choice but ended up with Morata who was probably his 2nd/3rd or something. However, Conte has a mercurial temperament so he was probably likely to go ape shit whenever he wasn't in control 100%

All I was saying with my previous post is that signings at Chelsea are 100% not exclusively down to the manager. They have a say, but it agreement amongst a number of others.

Upamecano just extended and is only available next year.

Yeah, Upamencano should be in our top 3 targets for sure, possibly even be No.1. However, he cannot be had until next year unless someone goes absolutely mental on the price.

Not only that, but a well-informed spanish journalist revealed at the time that Pepe Reina was the one who recommended him to Sarri having played together in the NT. Fits in with his demands of "ball playing GK" as well. Kepa was 100% Sarri.

And ironically, Reina is the keeper with the next worst save % outside of Kepa

If only we had gotten Nicolo Barella under Sarri...

We tried in January 2019. If we got him back than we would not buy Kovacic 6 months later. Sarri also wanted Aouar.

Both better players than Kova tbh. Since he was the only player we could sign last summer because of the transfer ban I am not sure we would buy him in normal situation.

I wonder how we would look right now if Sarri stayed and we had no transfer ban. Pulisic would be good in his system too. And defense would be much better even with transfer ban

Chelsea have offered Batshuayi to Leeds for €25m. Leeds are considering if he fits in their spending budget this window.

If Thiago price with just one year left on contract is 30m no chance we will get 25m for Michy. And Pool dont even want to pay 30m to Bayern.

15m is realistic price for Michy.

20m i would say. I think age plays a major role.

Yep. I'd say due to age Batshuayi in three years will have more resale value than Thiago, unless he fails spectacularly at his next club.

Also need to consider the wages. Thiago as a world class player will demand two or three times more money in wages than Batshuayi, who probably wouldn't even get what he currently makes at Leeds. And anyway, what does Liverpool being too broke to buy Thiago at a more than reasonable transfer fee got to do with Batshuayi's valuation?

I do think €25M is too much for Michy but I also wouldn't be surprised if Leeds actually paid it. They have money to spend following their promotion and Michy is probably one of few strikers with big league experience they could realistically go for. I'd be happy with anything above €15M but let's hope Marina can negotiate a good price.
