Not starting quality likely but for a number 2, 8-10m in this market would be a very shrewd signing. Have we gone back to 2012? Asking for a friend. Vesper 30,194
Chris Sutton slams ‘stupid’ Man Utd and Chelsea decisions after Moussa Dembele heroics https://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/moussa-dembele-man-utd-chelsea-22528698 https://news.paddypower.com/football/2019/02/27/chelseas-worst-signings-premier-league-era/ You might have thought Chelsea might have heeded the warnings about big-money strikers after the catastrophe of Sutton’s signing in 1999. The Blackburn man had been a big part of Rovers’ run to the Premier League title… a full four years earlier. By the time he moved to London for a club record £10m, though, he had gone nine months without scoring. He might have rediscovered his mojo after leaving the Blues for Celtic, but Sutton’s time in London made Torres like prolific by contrast: his three goals from 39 appearances came against Skonto Riga, Hull City and Massimo Taibi. There is a reason why no Premier League club have gone for him all these years after Stoke's relegation. Even as a no.2, you want that keeper to be solid, decent and I don't think Butland is that. Moreover, we probably will have a number of turnovers in the playing squad that we don't need another unnecessary one like the backup keeper. Caballero will do just fine for one more season. That 8-10 million could be better used elsewhere right now.
Special Juan 28,141
Butland is awful, last season he made some of the worst mistakes I have seen from a keeper. Johnnyeye and killer1257
