If it wasn’t apparent already this confirmed it. We’re nowhere near ready for the title. Not only did we drop points at home to a relegation area team, but we did so when they played a team full of teenagers.

Worst result BY FAR under TT and one of the worst I’ve ever seen.

I think if you decimated Liverpool and City's midfield and attacking options they'd find it significantly more difficult to break down a team prepared to sit in and camp 11 men behind the ball.

We showed when we held Liverpool at bay with 10 men how difficult it can be to break a team down so deep, and with the lack of options tonight it was always going to be difficult to do so I felt. I think this is the type of game we actually bought Lukaku for where we could push a ball into him through the centre, or get wide and spam crosses into the box. With Pulisic the central striker it left us far too one dimensional against a side setting up like that. 

What is unforgiveable however is having finally taken the lead, we've blown it within a couple of minutes with a comedy of errors leading to a free kick and then woeful marking for that set piece. 

The worry is, if we have to play this weekend with these options, I don't see us winning.

We've had the same issue for seasons now. If a team is well organised, we're done. Lack of star quality to inspire us also plays it's part.

Never know might get a penalty lol. Annoying thing is first half they weren't that well organised. It just went anywhere then into the actual goal

Nah. Think the floor has finally collapsed. We've papered the cracks for far too long. 

Our structure and defence got us to this point so far. It was in no way sustainable considering how wasteful our attack and midfield have been. As others have alluded to, only Norwich, Juventus, and Leicester were performances where everyone was in sync. Three games. All season.

We have no player in our entire squad that can deliver magical quality on even a semi consistent basis. If we had a player or two who produced top quality every other game we’d be so much better off. Ziyech, Pulisic, Havertz, and CHO are like 1 in 8 game players. Lukaku and Werner even worse this season. 
 

Contrast that with the two above us. They each have literally 5-6 players who can play to a world class level attacking wise.

UEFA Super Cup

FIFA World Club Championship (other than CL the big one left for me)

3rd in League

At least get to semi final round on CL

and win one or both of League Cup and/or FA Cup (obviously would prefer the FA Cup, as then we can grab another trophy from Community Shield)

 

so 3 or 4 trophies, go deep into this CL, qualify for next CL

and we will be World Champions for 2 years (due to delay in new format and with the winter World Cup) with the gold badge

AND

with one more trophy we tie Real Madrid for trophies overall since 2004 (only trail PSG (but they have shit in terms of ANY big trophies, all theirs are from the 4 leagues trophies in farmers league) Barca, and then the leaders Bayern), 2 more and we pass them (or maybe not, as they will for sure win La Liga, and maybe Copa del Rey)
