and I would like a better CB to replace Zouma (we can get another next season to replace Thiago) just buy Lacroix if Bastoni or Varane are impossible

Agreed!..what's happened to or about Malang Sarr??

Seems we've dumped him in Portugal and forgot about him.

Is there anything in Germany on this, apart from any story that's quoting Christian Falk and/or Fjortoft?

Nope nothing. Just Bild quoting the Mail, which is already being misquoted/mistranslated on Twitter.

Tbf Sancho turned down a new deal at City and refused to go on their pre season tour to go there and Jude Bellingham turned down Man United so it just shows its a more interesting or appealing thing to do now.

Other promising younger players like Ronaldo Viera, Jamal Muisala, Rabbi Matondo, Jonathan Panzo, Yunus Munsah, Arvin Appiah, have made moves to Italy, Germany, France and Spain also in this last however long from big clubs or clubs where they could have played first team sooner.

But the circumstances surrounding them are different, no? They were/are young and need game time to develop. If clubs in England - something that big clubs in England can't offer - then of course they would take the plunge to maybe go abroad and look for opportunities.

Tripper may not have had much interest but a move to Atletico is hardly a bad one or for Tomori a move to Milan is also hardly a poor one. I mean in terms of Tripper hes now linked with a return to the PL to go to Man United after winning a league title. Wouldnt have happened at a West Ham or Newcastle.

I didn't say Trippier's move to Atletico and Tomori's move to Milan were bad. But it's also undeniable that in the former's case at least, his stock was low at Tottenham and Atletico offered him an escape route out of England to revive his fortunes.

Guardian's story on Haaland...

https://www.theguardian.com/football/2021/jun/08/dortmund-plan-to-keep-haaland-amid-Chelsea-interest-but-ready-to-sell-sancho

Borussia Dortmund remain determined to keep Erling Haaland for another year despite Chelsea’s desire to sign the striker.

...A deal for Haaland, valued at more than £150m, will be extremely difficult to complete. Dortmund are adamant that the Norway international, who turns 21 next month, is going nowhere yet. The Bundesliga club are in a stronger position after qualifying for the Champions League and plan only one big sale. They will not stand in Jadon Sancho’s way if Manchester United, who are interested in the winger, meet their €90m (£77.5m) asking price for the England international.

Dortmund demonstrated that they are not easy to push around when they refused to drop their asking price for Sancho amid interest from United last summer. Their plan is to keep Haaland for another season, with a transfer more likely next year.

Another complication is the cost of signing Haaland. It is understood that Chelsea, who broke their transfer record when they signed Kai Havertz from Bayer Leverkusen for £62m last summer, are reluctant to spend £150m on the forward. They would prefer to negotiate a lower fee for Haaland, whose agent, Mino Raiola, could seek wages of about £300,000 a week for his client. Barcelona and Real Madrid are unlikely to be able to afford Haaland.

Chelsea have considered putting forward a swap deal involving Tammy Abraham, who is up for sale. However Dortmund are likely to insist on a straight fee for Haaland.

Dortmund have been linked with another Chelsea youngster, Callum Hudson-Odoi. However it is understood that Hudson-Odoi is happy at Stamford Bridge and wants to fight for his place.

What is Haaland's release clause next summer?

Depends which source you believe. Some say €75M and some say it's closer to €100M.

Either way it's a lot less than what Dortmund could potentially get this summer.

Right. Add the fact they could potentially see Tammy thrown into it as well. I think its at a point where Marina will see where Dortmund will budge.

The way I see it

Rice probably staying at West Ham one more season with them being in Europe

give Guehi a go as a squad player at CB

signing Haaland makes sense imo if you can get it done from the club point of view

a lot of money yes but he would be huge marketing wise and Nike would probably up our shirt sponsorship money because his such a huge star plus unlike Lukaku if he was to move on in five years we would get our money back.

Tammy + Cash for Haaland

35 million for Tchouaméni

Promote Guehi to first team.

We should be competing next season.

We should anyway

I expect Kai and Werner to have better seasons and with Tuchel having a pre season
