Meanwhile, in Serie A...

Good on them.It just seems really dumb timing.

Also English clubs aren't going to want to send players to Denmark if means losing them for 2 weeks if the no exception rule in place atm stands.

1. Whose stupid idea was it to give us a lunchtime kick off at Newcastle immediately after the international break!?

2. It's St. James Park, where we always lose... (cc @Tomo)

3. Don't think Silva will feature in this one...

Hate playing there, but thankfully no crowds!

Hope we take full advantage.

Yeah apparently the PL is taking a stance:

It beggars belief why FIFA wont at least arrange for safe venues for matches, instead of allowing players to fly wherever in defiance of lockdowns.

Useless, fucking sham of an organization led by a Mussolini look alike.

Fucking respect......

Our NT play most important game in years in 4 days against Scotland. Play off for Euro. Last time we played EURO was 20 years ago.

This would mean no Kolarov, SMS, Milenkovic three most important players. How is that fair? We should try to postpone the game for March but UEFA will not allow it...

What UEFA and FIFA should have done is let the players complete the season at club level first and then, let them to go to their NT and play all the international matches, in the lead up to the Euros - similar to what happened last season after the restart where clubs completed all their domestic competitions first before went on to finish the European competitions.

It's likely too late for UEFA and/or FIFA to change anything about the upcoming international matches but the planning has been horrendous.

Definitely puts teams at a unfair advantage when not all players are able to travel. Do we really need this Nations League thing?!

Be intresting to see how plays out if the Denmark ban sticks in terms of England vs Iceland

The UEFA Nations League is truly a waste of time, especially for the bigger nations, and it was another excuse for UEFA to make more money after all the complaints about international friendlies.

So in the end this was not true. Everyone is already here except Fiorentina players and they should also come soon.

Think they are allowed to travel but only via private flight...

Yeah I’ve been saying that a long time. I despise the way international games criss-cross with club matches. Far preferable to do them in one lump.

As predicted we will contest this game with a squad ravaged with injuries thanks to the intl break.

Without Silva and Chilwell this will be a hard piece of work. Just like vs Southampton we will probably concede stupid goals with Rüdiger/Christensen and Alonso/Emerson crippling our backline. With Azpi at LB we will be toothless offensively on the left which is vital for our matchplan but we will see.

Good thing this isn't a Hazard and Willian scenario where our only threat is our left side....

Dave at LB is a must for me. Werner at LW, Tammy up top and Ziyech at RW. Havertz should be back as well which is a major boost. Rudiger for me. Newcastle are Tier 1 shithouses, so anything they get will be likely off a set piece.
