If you're not delighted with how this season is going and excited about the potential of both this young group and manager who feel and understand the club and its fans then you're either impossible to please or a closet Spurs fan.

Tonight showed the continued maturity of this group, including Frank and I am elated not just at the result but the controlled and professional performance we just put in.

This so much better than horrible Parking the bus football"". No more  splashing enormous amounts of money on buying foreign players.. But a core  of homegrown talents guided by a few experienced players. Attacking tacticks. And a coach who knows the DNA of the club..

So i hope that after the transferban Chelsea wont fall back to their previous manners.

We could have 'easily' settled for the 0-0 result in the second half and try to sustain the inevitable Ajax pressure. But no no, we kept attacking and just went for it. I loved that 'we want to win this game' approach. Yes, we became a little bit more open and Ajax had a few counter attacking opportunities where they went 3 against 3 or something like that. But we went for the winner, had way more chances to win it and in the end we did it. At Ajax against an in-form team. Straight away I can name some past managers who would settle for the draw. This has been an awesome European night.

There's been some talks about combined Dutch-Belgian league. Not exactly a superleague (I hope that shit never happens) but it would make the domestic competition a lot better. That would probably be 6th best league in Europe with quite a few big clubs in there, namely Ajax, PSV, Feyenoord, Anderlecht, Genk and Brugge

For a team from a small country there is no choice, Matches against RKC or VVV are miles away levelwise  compared to the games Chelsea plays weekly.  The dutch league is called the Micky Mouse competition.

We dont start every year with at least 200 million from tv revenues..

Therefore for club like Ajax its impossible to compete structurally with the big EPL clubs.

But we have our own identity and philosophy and Cruijff DNA

It will happen occasionally that we'can compete on the main stage or even win trophy's and afterwards we dissappear in anonymity for a while

 

But we always come back.
