that was the first absolute masterclass from Lamps. The team did not play particularly well, were nervous AF but Lamps changes shifted the momentum such that we still come away with the 3 points. Outcoached ten Hag completely. Ajax had 2 chances, one of which was a lucky deflection that was rightly called offside and the post they hit, well, we have to work on this still.

But if you hold the 7,8 chances 3 of which 100% ones against that we thoroughly deserved our win. We completely broke Ajax flow and still attacked well, dominated the game. Disciplined, mature performance given the horrible pitch and the hostile atmosphere (aside from the finishing)

Massive massive win, great and gritty performance by the lads against a very good Ajax team on their own turf, the subs were spot on in the end, big credit to Lamps. Azpi had a monster game in defense, captain's performance, Kova and Jorginho marshalled that midfield, Pulisic has to start next game, very bright game from him as soon as he came on, gave us spark and creativity, completely changed the outcome of the game in our favor, Bats redeemed himself for that huge miss with the winner. An excellent, classic European away performance. First half could have gone either way, maybe they were slightly better but we completely nullified them in the second half. Deserved win in the end.

How many of those have we had in the last 7 years ? I can only think of Atletico Madrid away. The rest is suffering, walls to the back defensive garbage.

No one took Chelsea and instead focused on Man United Arsenal and Spurs. Super Frank is doing brilliantly but is not getting the plaudits that he deserve. Now let’s take that win onto to Turf moor

Very nice display. Owned the 2nd half completely.

I am happy for Bats for his goal, but he has to look up more as well. Could have passed to James for a second goal to kill the game. He wasn't this greedy before he went on loan, but he wasn't this good either.

Poor Quality match. Ajax worst european performance in last two years. Also chelsea didn't reached to their full potential.but it was a  well deserved victory.( Alltough the disallowed ajax goal was not offside)

We miss  Frenkie de Jong deerly.

Congrats to Chelsea and hopefully a better match at Stamford Bridge.

 

BTW I really like this years Chelsea. Probably , You won't win trophies this year but its enjoyable to watch and the future is bright for the blues
