I don't know. On the one hand the way he left was perfect and there will be another better ending to a players career at a particular club but on the other hand... He is Didier Drogba.

the horns of a dilemma ... I'm glad I don't have to make the decision on him returning

Drogba is past, great past. As good past as you can imagine. Leave him there, don't run it. Better be great past than mediocore present.

I agree even though your post destroyed the English language; much like how Drogba routinely destroyed Arsenal.

The funny thing is that no stewart bothered with that fan entering the pitch. Drogba had to lead him the way outside.

@Others

As for the rumors: Don't you think it's better for Drogba to stay at Galatasaray? He's still a great player and has everything he needs at Galatasaray. A great stadium (though the pitch is in a bad condition, always), great fans, a great city (as huge as London), good (maybe best) chances for national titles and on top of that he's able to play in the CL (chances are that we play against you guys). Even in his current condition he is a great reinforcement for our team.

But is his current form enough for Chelsea's desires? I think not. So it's best for both sides to let it stay as it is. And parting with good memories (CL win) is much better than parting with bad ones, because I'm sure you won't be able to watch the Drogba you guys used to watch back in the days - so you'll end up being disappointed.

I know everyone likes a touch of nostalgia every once in a while but surely Jose is going over the top of he want to bring back Drogba?

I personally think this story is bullshit by journalist desperately trying to make some connection. But if this were to happen then my fears (some call paranoia) then Jose will be trying to desperately hark back to the older days by putting the likes of Lampard and Terry at the centre of the team would be heightened by this.

confident it is bullshit. Let him finish his career with Galatasaray, we will still love him regardless. If he wants to come back as a coach in a few years then I for one would welcome him back with open arms but he left saying he needed a new challenge. Let him enjoy his football elsewhere.
