How young and new our squad is shows that CHO with 16 goals scored most for Chelsea of all our players. But since he is leaving with Lukaku and Ziyech as well James is on top of the list with 11 goals.

You don't get to be captain because you scored the most goals 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Only really were 3 options (RJ,Silva,Chilly) but all 3 for various reasons unlikely to start every game. Did think for year 1 under Poch would be Silva.but either way all good, isn't as important to make the right hire at captain in football as it is in cricket or on a ship.

If true, Reece’s biggest asset (his monstrous frame) is also his biggest liability. Being built like a tank is what allows him to dominate almost anyone in physical duels but there’s also a reason why you don’t see many footballers in his position at that size. Because all that muscle is prone to injury.

Here’s to hoping it’s not serious again.

That’s not how muscles work tho. There are way bigger footballers with less of an injury record. The problem is not size but imbalances. It might well be that his lower body is not conditioned for supporting the bulky upper body repeatedly at speed over long distances or maybe he has asymmetries in his leg muscles or tendons. I still think our medical, physiotherapy and S&C departments suck for not doing better prehab on all our injury prone players esp.

I think it’s probably mostly down to the position he plays. Lots of running up and down the wings, lots of quick stop/start movement etc.
