╫rue Blue 47
@LiquidatorMourinho wants a tactically disciplined playmaker, Mata isn't that, as he's shown (not just in the big games) but throughout his time here. Hence why Jose even labeled Mata as a winger when questioned about his role (direct quotes). He doesn't track back, nor does he have the work rate Oscar possesses. Can you share a link for this direct quotes? second time I see you mention it and I haven't found it.yes, i cant found it eitherthis is what i found, when mou talk and explain what he thinks about matahttp://www.chelseafc.com/news-article/article/3329843/title/mourinho-creation-record"I like the wingers to come inside and on the left we have a lot - Hazard, Moses, De Bruyne. Juan is the only player we have to do that on the right but I also think he is very comfortable playing no.10, so between these two positions he has a lot to give to the team.'I always say to these creative players that if you have more than the others, you have to do more than the others,' Mourinho says by way of a general conclusion.'If you have this ability, you have to use this ability. If you do it with one objective, to score goals or to create goals, do it. If you lose the ball then no problem, because you had a good objective in your mind - you wanted to score goals or you wanted to produce goals.he never labeled mata as winger, he just only player in our squad who can play as inverted winger on the rightin fact he said mata is good to be our #10 player

ZOS 580
Maybe we need drums like Bayern?a great idea , drums and new songs are needed ... something new and original, tiered of listening to the old 'chelsea, chelsea, chelsea'... don't get me wrong, I know its a bit of a culture to sing this but its so repetitive and boring ... I don't know why ppl don't learn and sing 'chelsea boys in blue' by Graham McPherson, its a really nice and groovy song ..... I wish my english was good enough to write an article over this issue, will you, kind sir, put the idea up
Cosmin 2,484
Crystal Palace have, by far, the best atmosphere in England at the moment, in my opinion. There's a group of boys with drums, flags and scarfs singing and jumping during the games. That's how you support your team!

NishC300 1,865
I've made my final comments on Mata with the response to Liquidator in regards to Oscar being the more tactically disciplined and thus superior option, and that's that. I will however address this..I was playing devils advocate earlier on in the thread, I still appreciate what Mata brings to the table. Although Hazard is by far our best player, objectively. Mourinho being sacked was worse than Moscow for me, we lost a sense of identity as a club. In the grand scheme of things, Jose is more important than a mere 'pawn' (i.e single squad player).sure I see your opinion but for me Mata is brilliant and I believe he has a huge part to play in this Mourinho Chelsea. NishC300 1,865
Can't agree with those who said the last 2 seasons was the worst under the era of Roman. It's ridiculous. Yes, we had many troubles and ups and downs in the 11/12 and 12/13 season but we ended up winning the Champions League, FA Cup and Europa League. If you want to talk about the worst, then look no further than the 10/11 season. Just came off the season of winning the Premier League and FA Cup but never even got close to defend those titles. On top of that, our performances in the Champions League were hardly inspiring either and in fact, none of our performances that season was any good. The players stagnated and our play was dull and there was nothing positive coming out from that season. The quality of players and play have since been improving and to think some would disregard what we did for the last two seasons, what certain players did and taking them for granted just because of all the talents we have got now is really pathetic!I think they meant that in terms of 'squad strength'. The Europa League isn't an important trophy. As a matter of fact we should be ashamed that we actually got into the Europa League in the 1st place. As a matter of fact we should be ashamed that we actually got into the Europa League in the 1st place. No, don't think they did. And even if they were talking about squad strength, the 2010/11 season was still the worst. Players became stagnated. Team's form dipped. Nothing of quality came out then. And not to mention, we allowed so many experienced players like Ballack, Cole, Belletti, Deco, Carvalho to leave and ended up only replacing them with only Ramires and Benayoun that summer. As for the Europa League, yes it's not the biggest of trophies, it's definitely not where we should be in/at but it's still a European trophy regardless. We got into the competition, we won it and we made history in the process. It's still not a success or achievement to be played down. And think we are more ashamed of becoming the 1st Champions League winner to exit the group stage as opposed to getting into the Europa League. Jase 43,479
That's the same thing. Depends on which perspective you want to look from. The thought of being the 1st European Champions to exit from the group stage is downright more embarrassing than the idea of being playing in the Europa League. There's a group of boys with drums, flags and scarfs singing and jumping during the games. That's how you support your team! They really don't. I've seen us play Palace at Selhurst Park twice and both times their fans were absolutely woeful. They only have a small part of the ground that actually sings and bring out drums, tifos etc. for televised games. The Skipper

Vybz Kartel 1,613
like who?Lukaku for example he is better than Ba but he loaned him out, Ozil remember when he kept on playing him in the wing when it was obvious his best position was in the middle, Van Ginkel he promised him game time but a 35year old Lampard gets to start 4 straight matches even when he clearly is the one fucking up in the mid

Many managers in the past play players out of position (Fergie on Kagawa a quick example in my head, you can't single out Jose for that) and Van Ginkel has just joined a new country at a young age, Ronaldo was often an unused sub in his first season at United, same for RVP at Arsenal. nachikethas
NishC300 1,865
The amount of criticism Mourinho receives for being 'negative' is shocking. It's almost as though he is Helenio Herrera and invented the catenaccio. Mourinho likes to have a balance. He realises what you should do and when you should do it. The reason we killed off the game in the 2nd half vs Hull was because Mourinho realised that Hull were never going to win the game, and with the game against Villa in mind, he understood there was no point in playing at the same pace we were earlier in the game. He is an astute manager. The reason he played defensive, counter attacking against Man United (I already explained here: http://forum.talkchelsea.net/topic/16692-he-got-it-right-last-night/). Against Bayern we had to play defensive. It's common sense. We were reduced to 10 men vs the best side in the world yet we still carried a threat on the counter.I see no reason to crticise Mourinho for not 'entertaining' you. It would have been interesting see how entertained you would be if were thumped vs Bayern. If you do not find the football exciting, then don't worry. I always find celebrating your side winning a trophy more entertaining than anything.but as I said calling Mourinho 'negative' is incorrect, he just likes balance and is an astute manager.Depends on which perspective you want to look from. The thought of being the 1st European Champions to exit from the group stage is downright more embarrassing than the idea of being playing in the Europa League.Yea but I was talking from a more technical perspective since what I meant was going to Europa League happened as a result of becoming the 1st Champions who were KOed in the group stages. But regarding the 10/11 season, we did launch a better title challenge than we did in any of the previous seasons. If we had won that game at OT, we would have been top of the table. So 10/11 wasn't that bad.It bothers me slightly when he complains like he did yesterday (because I think he didn't have a point and for some - not me - he may sound like a sore loser), but it's a way to put pressure on referees for upcoming matches. No one in UEFA wants someone to imply conspiracies against teams, especially not someone as big as José Mourinho. So they might be more careful next time. Please watch this documentary on Mourinho by ITV. It came out on Christmas 2012.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ircJqZkmWqQIf Mourinho does this to pressurise UEFA................................. then obviously he has failed.Since he has never received the benefits of it. edenhazard17 and Tomo
