BlueLion. 21,491
along with around 180k in wages so more like over 10m per season. Also he is never getting full 90 so guess we will be waiting a while...If we're playing that game then Remy is a failure because of his wages and transfer fee and he only scored nine goals last season*. Don't be selective with your arguments. You can't level a player's wage as a criticism for or against him. Falcao took a massive pay cut to come here, don't forget. * before anyone says, I'm being deliberately antagonistic to make a point. Remy's contributions last season don't require any debate. You make a good point though, I can't see him getting more than 6 or 7 starts this season, like Drogba last year.
Duppy Conqueror 1,534
Costa isn`t gonna play every game in every competition even if he stays healthy so it`s premature to think any of our back up strikers are never going to get 90 minutes.not expecting much from Falcao, don`t expect him to be with us next season but if he can contribute here and there and be some insurance incase Costa misses some significant time then it`ll be worth it. I wouldn`t have signed him personally..but still don`t class it as a waste for one season.
illmatic 901
For first in a lot time, Falcao has not been convened to the national team, being fit. Pekerman has said in the conference that Falcao is adapting to his new team and 15 days out of the team for the call of a national team, will be harmful to him. Good decision, I think. Good decision, I think.I agree to some degree, my brother. However, many people are going mental in social media. Now a lot of people will be angry or very critical of Pekerman depending on the result we get from the international friendly.Sorry for going off on a tangent. Blue Armour 4,439
He might have stood a chance of recovering his form if he came into the squad with the rest of the team playing stellar football...but no, he joined us when the rest of the team were playing like shite. How typical. The Chels

Would sell him this summer if a player like Benzema was available. Henrique
Viper22 2,418
Did well today and went some way to justifying being subbed on over Remy. Although i'd still like to see Remy given a few chances in the near future but hopefully he is better than he was against Arsenal cos he was absolutely shocking then. Tbh quite happy that we've got 3 decent strikers in the squad, once the team starts playing well i'm sure all 3 of them will flourish. Amblève. 4,995
Let's not overreact, please. Falcao did nothing aside from that goal and a random goal has never recovered anyone's form for good. Duppy Conqueror

LondonsFinest 692
Actually his link up play and technique were far superior to Costa's. Reason why I've been(yes, I have) wanting to see him start with Hazard and Pedro.Great goal from him and I sincerely hope we get to see more of the same. Fernando 6,585
It's the Fernando Torres syndrome.Pretty much. So because of that we tend to be cautiously optimistic.

Falcao did nothing aside from that goal and a random goal has never recovered anyone's form for good.As opposed to Costa, who did what? Costa is becoming a disappointment this season and his positioning is below par to say the least.
MrBlueGuy 1,552
1 down 4 to go my prediction still on course. In fairness he did well to score that goal, but then again in the past we got a guy who scored a good goal here or there and then went on a 10+ games scoreless streak, let's keep our feet on the ground.
