Not necessarily. Coutrois can have the FA and league cup matches which should be about matches plus he can fill in if Cech get injured or needs resting.

Yeah, why would a keeper like Courtois who is wanted by the likes of Barca and some of the other best sides in the world want to come back and play FA/League Cup matches? He's good enough to be the #1 at any club in any league.

As much as it pains me to say this, Courtois should be brought back next season and be made our first choice keeper. Whilst Cech isn't old by any means, Courtois is 10 years younger with tons of potential to get better. Cech is still class but I can't see him getting any better than he has been.

We'd be absolutely clinically insane to sell Courtois. If nothing else, give him a fat new 5 year extension to show him that he's wanted and there isn't a chance he goes anywhere. Because once Barca or Madrid start their usual tapping up tactics who knows what'll happen.

Wouldn't be surprised if Cech left. Courtois is too good a prospect not to be given game-time, and Cech deserves to be first-choice.

We pay Cech to do his duty, we've gave him support, we don't owe him that much.

Letting go of Courtois or even sending him for another year just to keep Cech isn't right, a decision will have to be made and I really hope we go for Courtois on this one.

He won't have a guaranteed start anywhere he goes. Even at Athletico he had to fight for his spot with Asenjo.

To be fair, he always, always has an incredible game for us, which is no wonder given his qualities and qualities of the rest of the team. He just can't save everything, really.

But the problem is, Courtois is fully established as one of the best keepers around at 21 and on current form is the best keeper in Spain, bringing him back to play what would effectively be the Cudicini (of Mourinho's last spell) role is not an option now, neither is a loan to a midtable PL club, which was initially the plan.

Exactly, its beats logic how some think he will return to be a rotation keeper, next summer is decision time, we can't make him second choice and gradually bring him in, we certainly can't loan him in the PL. Jose has got a horrible but also very nice decision to make next summer.

Cech vs Courtois is a no brainer imo. The former has been nothing short of amazing for us, but at the same time we can't lose a goalie who can be our number 1 for the next decade, and then some.

I dont think Cech will leave next season, but the year after, when Courtois has had a year to settle.
