Diego Costa

Murderous monster of a man. He's building a serious reputation now. His 3rd PL game and both Distin and Jegielka were sick of the sight of him within 5 minutes. They looked terrified at times and it's because the guy just does not stand still. He even scared Howard into handling the ball outside the box (edit: oh, that was Hazard! Nevermind!).

Absolute beast. So happy he's ours.

Mourinho on Costa's performance..

http://www.chelseafc.com/news/latest-news/2014/08/final-whistle-verdict--anything-is-possible.html

‘He produced a fantastic performance in every aspect,’ enthused Mourinho. ‘I remember in the first half he was tackling Coleman on the edge of our box. He recovered balls, he held the ball up, and he was aggressive.

‘He came face to face with Howard three times and he scored two goals. Howard made a good save in the beginning of the second half. His movement, his quality – everything was really good.

‘The only thing I didn’t like in this game, apart from some defensive mistakes, was the way some Everton players were trying to give problems to Diego. I don’t think this is English football, and I think it’s a contradiction with the Everton team because they are a positive side in every aspect of the game. To be chasing cards with a player that once more had good behaviour, and was just here to play football and to win the match, is disappointing.

‘The end of the story is that Diego is maybe the best player in the league in these first three matches. He is the top scorer, and he has two yellow cards: one against Burnley where he didn’t simulate, and today when everybody was chasing him to get him in trouble.’

Howard eeb saying in the mail that costa should have been off for a second yellow ??

Graham Poll you mean. I think he's referring to the 'dive' just before Ramires' goal (our 5th).

I don't even see what he should of been booked for when he was? It was all very petty. People are going to want him booked at every opportunity because he's unlikeable to opponents. Hopefully he doesn't rise to it and Jose keeps him calm.

Boo hoo. If Coleman wants to dish it out, he should be prepared to take it on the chin when some of it is served back.

Martinez in his time at Everton has always struck me as a bit snarky and back-handed towards Mourinho and Chelsea, so this doesn't surprise me.
