Abreu03 292
Spanish press is too ridiculous, amazing how since Diego came they always invent adifferent story, haha.
Chelsea4 1,521
They can have him for 40m and they have to give us one of Gimenez,Godin or Saul. The Skipper and xPetrCechx

Pizy 18,908
Better hope the club aren't stupid enough to sell Diego back to Atelti without first having Morata. Real Madrid could royally fuck us otherwise. We'd be taking a player from them and strengthening their direct rival by giving them Costa. They could verbally agree to sell us Morata, we sell Diego, then they change their minds. Tomo
LAM09 7,052
Using him as a makeweight for Griezmann would be perfect.

Chelsea Legend 11 4,062
In a strange way I hope the rumour is true. He doesn't fight for the shirt he fights for his ego... If the talks are this advanced we must have a replacement in mind.
Diego 433
I'm calling bullshit. Already seen a couple of journalist that are following chelsea this pre-season say that he his working hard and chelsea have no intention of selling. The only way i see chelsea selling is if they include Griezmann into the deal which is never going to happen. We already need one more striker with Costa and clearly Conte wants Morata. So selling cost seems pointless unless he really pushes for the move which doesn't seem to likely. Abreu03 292
I hope this never happens, leaving Diego Costa to have Morata is a decay absurd, if Chelsea wants to have a good team has to keep its main parts and not sell them, already has a lot of garbage on the team. But you are just taking the piss here arent you? In todays market i wouldnt sell Diego for less than £80M. Imagine Morata will cost fecking €75M. I have a feeling that we will be after either Higuain or Greizmann if Costa is sold. Fernando

The Chels 2,502
So after this story spread through the Spanish media, some journalists with access to the audio are now saying the 'Costa is close' quote was fabricated by Gazzetta. First thank you.Second i agree with you in todays market you could go for 70m but he really doesn't do much his passing is bad, tehnically not so good and most of the time he is not clinical.Realistaclly he should not be worth more than 40-50m but in a market where Pogba is 100m we could try and sell him for 60-70m but i don't thing Atletico has the money to pay 70m. Jype 6,398
Shouldn't be sold, Atletico aren't rich enough to offer a price simply too good to turn down and there's no way we can get a replacement as good as him in this window so we can only be on the losing side of this thing if a transfer does happen. The situation with Costa is tricky. On one hand he's good enough to score +20 league goals and lead us to another title push but then again he's often a liability with his antics and if his heart is not 100% in it he'll most likely be of very little use to the club. I hope Conte will convince him to stay at least one more season and give everything he has to the cause and then return to Atleti next year if he still wants. I'm sure before 17/18 season the club can find a good enough replacement but no chance for that happening this summer.
