Fernando 6,723
Is this why we are trying to get Lukaku back? Because AM is buying him back?

In what world would we sell Diego Costa for £40m and buy Lukaku for £60m? That's putting us back in the striker department AND £20m! I mainly think Costa's injured. Don't see him leave. Blue Armour, The Skipper and Barbara

Blue Armour 4,710
On a side note, 40m for Costa and spending 60m on Lukaku would be one of the worst ever deals....the sale itself would kill some of the momentum we're trying to build going into the season
Blue Armour 4,710
 EXCLUSIVE: Chelsea's Diego Costa decides transfer fate DIEGO COSTA has finally accepted he is staying put at Chelsea. Published 30th July 2016 http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/533917/Diego-Costa-Chelsea-Atletico-Madrid  (Its all just papertalk at this time, but just wanted to offset the talk about selling the player)
Gilvorak 3,734
People on here really think Costa's World Class? Really? He's a very good striker but the tag is completely devalued if we're calling him World Class. Simply too many flaws in his game & he isn't even the most clinical forward regardless. Â I'd take about 5/6 different center forwards ahead of him. OhForAGreavsie
OhForAGreavsie 6,125
My attitude is simply that if Costa leaves, he leaves. As long as we get a good fee that is.

Parky 739
Chelsea's Diego Costa moving closer to Atletico Madrid return; Lukaku to Blues Atletico Madrid are growing more and more confident of re-signing Diego Costa and are lining up an offer of £40 million, much to Chelsea's displeasure, the Daily Mail claims. Relations between the clubs are said to be so bad that the Premier League side have threatened to file a complaint with FIFA regarding Atletico's pursuit of the striker. However, Chelsea may have an ace up their sleeve as the Mirror reports that a move to re-sign one of their own former players, Romelu Lukaku, could be in the cards; Everton accepts there is not much more they can do to keep their star at Goodison Park. The Toffees value Belgium international Lukaku at £75m, but while Chelsea have so far only tabled a £57m offer, which was rejected, it is said the striker has his heart set on a return to Stamford Bridge and the chance to link up with countrymen Eden Hazard, Thibaut Courtois and Michy Batshuayi. http://www.espnfc.com/blog/transfer-talk/79/post/2920264/chelseas-diego-costa-moving-closer-to-atletico-madrid-return

calculatingInfinity 1,493
So much for that 6th August deadline that the newspapers were talking about lol. I'm sure them having Torres, Grease Man, Gameiro, Correa and Borja (who just scored 18 goals in his season for Eibar in la liga), won't stop the rumors though. But it should. kellzfresh
