"sources in Portugal" I noticed in that article. That source is Goncalo Lopes on twitter who said he thinks its more a roman signing

Chelsea are close in signing Barcelona midfielder and former Arsenal player Cesc Fabregas with the deal to be announced later this week. Kick Socca sources in Spain understand that Chelsea held talks with Fabregas and his agent Darren Dein last week and the player agreed on personal terms after undergoing successful medical tests.

Amazing that people know what Roman thinks when he never speaks out.

You know what I used to think, and am probably right. Some of the journos who say "player doesnt want to go to club X" or manager doesnt want player Y, are fans of clubs also linked with said player and write the articles to convince themselves the player will join them. Sounds mad but... hey ho

Like John Cross.. I bet he was absolutely fuming writing the article that Wenger doesnt want Fabregas and he looks set for us

We started last season with:

Cech, Ivanovic, Terry, Cahill, Azpi/Cole, Ramires, Lampard, Oscar, Hazard, Willian, Torres/Etoo.

We will start the next one with something like:

Cech/Courtois, Azpi/Iva, Terry, Cahill, Filipe Luis, Matic, Cesc, Oscar, Hazard, Willian, Costa.

And maybe with players in the bench like Ramires, TIago, Schurrle, Lukaku, Zouma.

We improved from last season because we had a plan and had a more balanced team. This season we will have a hell of a team. It's not only Cesc, it's not only Costa, it's because we have 20 players capable of playing in any game. Next season if Hazard has a problem, or Oscar can't play for 2 months, or Ramires we won't have any problem.

A team like this is something really great.

Would be sick to sign both Fabregas and Costa before the World Cup so they can build an even closer relationship with Azpi and Torres and discuss what it's like playing for Chelsea and under José.

Koké too if not Cesc.
