Works with all the girls... I'm surprised (and a bit disappointed) by how 99% of the posters on Bluemoon are rational and humble about the defeat. Example:After they hit the post 3 times and we could have been down to 9 men or less, one thing they were not is "lucky". We didn't let City control the game at any point and we were nearly perfect in every part of the field. If we weren't so unlucky we would have beaten them by 2 or 3 goals in their own ground. It is hard to choose just one mvp since nearly everyone was fantastic, with the exception being Ramires. I don't know if Oscar had a problem and couldn't play for 90 minutes, but i seriously believe that if we had him instead of Ramires we would have been even more dominant. I am sure Jose (who was also brilliant in how he managed this game) had his reasons for not playing Oscar but Ramires is so wasteful it is not even funny anymore. Toli 977 Posted February 3, 2014 Share Posted February 3, 2014 I didnt want to say something negative so early either but those two where a bit of disappointing...but like a friend pointed out that they where pretty above average tonite but the rest of the team was on a completely fucking different level....Willian wasnt average at all. yeah he had a bad decision with this 4 vs 2 situation, but beside this, I think he was really good and fighting his socks off. mostly, etoo or ramires just were not making good runs for him to pass the ball. he was incredible at fighting though. shoudl have been taking off at the 70th minute, because he was really walking like a zombie (understandably). Negated City's threats and imposed the counter attacking game plan brilliantly on them. The fact that we looked so comfortable and never looked like conceding (except for the first 20 minutes or so) says it all. Not to mention, their first shot on target came from that Silva FK in the second half. Hard to pick out a MOTM when the team performed like that as everyone did what was asked of them and more, brilliantly. Should have won by more but piss off with the post(!) and Pellegrini was such a bitch to use injuries as an excuse for the defeat and said we had luck to win the game. And just to throw some stats in...Chelsea became the first Premier League team to take points from the Etihad this season & first away side to keep a clean sheet there since November 2010 (Man City 0-0 Birmingham).Chelsea are the first team to do the Premier League double over Manchester City since Everton in the 2010/11 season.Chelsea beaten Manchester City in their home ground for the first time in the Premier League since 2008/09 season. That was straight red by the Laws of the Game. Even in my pub league a player would have been shown red. How Nastatic didn't, is unbelievable. Here in the States, Tim Howard was part of the commentating crew & he complained that he was shown red for being the last man.
