Conventional in the sense that the wingers are the ones who provide width, not left-footed players on the left-wing going on the outside of a man and then crossing the ball in. I was discussing this aspect in relation to City's use of wingers or lack thereof.

You completely overlooked the point that I made that full-backs need a target and that's something we're direly lacking at the moment. Azpi and Ivanovic have both shown the ability to be effective in the final third so saying we don't have them ignores a lot of what actually happens at our matches. Put in a good target man and our play changes drastically. But of course there will be 6 or 7 'fans' who would rather stick to their agenda.

I'm not ignoring it, I omitted it from my reply because I actually agree with you on that.

You can continue with your childish "6/7" agenda though, doesn't faze me at all lol.

Edit:

In response to City's lack of wingers, you're completely forgetting Navas who is a pure winger, purer than any we have, and Zabaleta still overlaps him.

We don't have our fullbacks overlapping to provide extra width because they're bad going forward - well we actually do (Ivanovic) but his impact in the final third is poor. Azpi is decent in his natural position though.

He's usually a very good member on the forum

Glad you havnt ignored him. We're all chelsea fans and are passionate about our club in our own way and I respect that.

He's an excellent poster on this forum. Him along with you, and Barbara :P are the peoples posts I click on like the most, bcos you guys put what I want to say in a better way most of the time.

It will be sad if you both don't have debates regularly bcos the quality of this forum will drastically reduce.

Well the title run in is over. Chelsea ended 3rd & won no trophies.

Under Jose the team was not playing well, especially games the bottom teams & played " parking the bus " in several games, Citeh, Liverpool, Arsenal just a few to mention here.

Should we be happy or even question Jose´s tactics? I believe, we should.

Ne sense to dwell on it now, but he must do much better next season & most of all start playing an offensive football.

The 5 points we dropped in the home games against Sunderland and Norwich would have been enough to secure us the title. How depressing is that?

It's even more depressing that you are reminding us about it...

Our team is either young and in-experienced, or experienced and not good enough anymore. Think we've had a great season to be honest, when was the last time we got to 80 points? 2010? That and a Champions League semi-final is a good season back for Jose.

Would like to see us bang in the goals next season and start smashing teams that park the bus :).

I don't really think the problem is with Jose's tactics. We need a good striker upfront who is reliable to play like that. After seeing how we started off against Hull, I truly believe we can achieve that level of football with Mourinho.

The stigma of 'parking the bus' is ridiculously overused when it comes to our play anyway. Other teams do it and noone bats an eyelash. It was individual errors and stupid referee decisions that cost us the title this season, and that's the reason why we've lost the title to the bottom half of the table. It's easy to blame tactics and lack of 'Plan B's' when the players themselves aren't doing their job of taking chances properly this season. Seriously, how many good chances have we blown time and time again because of bad decision-making and lack of killer instinct?

Some of it, I agree with, but there is a lot more to it. He had Manures on ropes, he ordered to play for a draw. He was not able to unlock defenses of several bottom teams. We will see next season, what exactly Jose is capable if he buys several more players.
