Other than that slip-up under Carlo...you would have to go all the way back to March, 2001 when they beat us 4-2

The last time we dropped points against them (other than the 3-0) was later that year in a 0-0 when Kevin Phillips had a penalty saved by Cudicini.

it is. on star sports 1 hd.

does your Star Sports HD give you clear HD from England, or is there a lot of digital noise/distortion showing up, especially in the sunlight or (players standing) in front of advertising boards?

we have, of course, NTSC here in N. America, so I'm curious if there's a difference in quality. I know you have PAL

i am quite happy with our HD. gives us a clear enough quality to actually know what is happening on the pitch.

sometimes when u get very good quality u dont to look at the finer and infact the finest points, PAL.

I think at Sunderland we should start with 4-4-2

Cech

Azpi Cahill Luiz Cole

Ramirez

Willian Mata Hazard

Ba Torres

It seems like 4-2-3-1 our creative midfielders are not able to create chances. I have seen it too often this year that Hazard does not have options to pass. granted our defence will be more vulnerable but we have to take the chances and score early.

Match Appointments

Referee: Phil Dowd. Assistants: M Perry, D Bryan. Fourth Official: S Attwell.

We've only lost three times in the league (in the past 10 years) with Phil Dowd as referee

We lost against United (A), Spurs (A) & Wigan (A)..

If he is selected I would really like to see Hazard grab this game by the scruff of the neck and take it to Sunderland, he has been good this season IMO and it's about time he slipped into gear and pulled a team apart.

Now please.

Not an easy game, I read above.

Then whom are Chelsea gonna beat if not Sunderland ?

A clean sheet I expect too.

Have you been following Sunderland under ex blues man Gus Poyet?

They have gone from relegation fodder under DiCanio to a hard working, well disciplined side - it won't be an easy match.

They are on the up - and we are a little inconsistent.

If we get the first goal - we should kick on and win - but if they grab an early lead it might be a tough game resulting in a draw. Gus will be motivating his players massively, could even be a Red Card in this game...

Look at Hull vs Liverpool last weekend?

The EPL offers no easy games - that's why the league generates the most money globally - every game is hard to call.

So this air of 3 points and clean sheet is bordering on delusional... ;)

It's a war, we have to fight every battle and I'm with WeHateScouse - scrappy 1-0 win will do...
