This might be the disappointment in me talking, but I'm starting to feel we might screw it up and fail to make the top 4. However, saying that we are more likely to finish 5th and the people here acting like it's a done deal is a bit of an overreaction. We won't give up our UCL place without a fight, but I have to admit it's a very realistic threat.

That happens when you realize you waste time watching a club where 70% players and staff do not care about it as much as you do. I could have done something useful instead of torturing myself for two hours. Its reality, not pessimistic bollocks.

I'd prefer a proud and fighting team in a relegation battle rather than what I'm watching nowadays.

The hectic fixture schedule is taking its toll, the squad rotation is needed but the players coming in aren't good enough. Marin and Moses were awful today, Oscar was non existent and Torres... no need to say anything about him. The way we started the season, we should be 3rd comfortably, maybe even second. The last 6 months have been disgusting.

If we do or we don't, the level of pessimistic bollocks that's being thrown around this forum is a fucking joke. People saying they're not going to watch games, implying Rafa's trying to tank the team...it's absurd.

The reaction was caused more by the performance than the result . The resut was bad the performance was a DISGRACE

Thing is Spurs are shite but still win...Arsenal look shite but somehow are right back in it.Us we seem to be going bad at the worse moment!None of our games you look at and think yep we'll win that...kinda hmmmmmmmmm how it goes on the day

We needed to win at Southampton. Now I don't know if we can stay in the top 4. We have tough fixtures, thin squad and really not a good enough squad either. We're going to need a lot of help from Spurs or Arsenal if we wish to finish in the top 4. Really needed a win at Soton.

God, no top 4 is going to be a big problem. No way in hell Mourinho comes, we ain't going to be able to sign anyone good and just the whole mentality at the club will deteriorate considerably.

I think, Roman needs to act fast, so that the chance of qualifying for top four will not slip away.

Speculation of Jose coming back to Chelsea has put Rafa into a state of confusion, I feel.

Resting & justifying his players selection in yesterday´s game is an indication Rafa set his priority elsewhere & not on top four.

I just hope Manure will help Rafa to wake up tomorrow.

Yup agree as much as I hate Benitez and this season - the team picked was capable of winning - just the mentality wasnt there...

I think as fans we need to be careful of pinning all the blame on a 'straw man' - as simply replacing said person will not address the several issues that are currently affecting us...
