Bosnian Blue 2,471
Wishful thinking, now close your FM2013I'm 100% convinced, and no I don't have FM 2013.Mourinho never played pro football, he was a translator before becoming a manager. AVB had a similar path. People would say theres no chance they could know football better than some of the great players, but they do. Football is not rocket science, it's a simple game and that's why millions love it.

Only a little, very little proportion get to be pro regarding football or sports in general. You're bringing up successful people, who made it in the business but there must be millions of counter-examples of players/managers.

You're bringing up successful people, who made it in the business but there must be millions of counter-examples of players/managers. Not everyone has a chance. It's a huge gamble to even try that. People choose other professions because there is a lesser risk involved. I know some people I believe could have made it to pros but they never had an opportunity. There are managers in the business who don't even deserve to be in the sport, let alone getting those jobs they get. Now we're going way off-topic, so I'm just gonna leave it there.
MADEZ 9
gonna be a difficult game but since we lost the previous game is time to win this one,a sign of our inconsistency.

Magic Lamps 11,692
With Lampard and Ba from the beginning we got a chance to win this, even though it is not gonna be pretty. Azpi-Iva-Cahill-Cole-----Luiz--Lamps----Marin---Oscar--Hazard-----------Ba-------------In this kind of game a decent out-and-out winger would be extremely helpful. Shame we got none. mata's been shit for a while, should get a rest. Lamps is better starting and in this kind of game he could really make a difference once again. Ba is our only striker, hence picks himself.

If not him then maybe Ramires.

If we're going to go with Marin on the wing I'd love to see Oscar start alongside Luiz in midfield. If not him then maybe Ramires. You seem to have fun quoting my posts and writing some random facts and statements that have nothing to do with it underneath. My point was not to include Mata in the starting lineup cos he has been shit lately. There is no logical link between that and the fact that Mata did only play the last 20 minutes or so against QPR. I also do not see how Marin on the wing should mean Oscar in the pivot. My point was to use Lamps and Luiz in the pivot. The former because these are the kind of games he can make the difference in like against Everton. If you want to leave him out (probably cos u really seem to question his ability as one can tell from your posts in the player's thread) that is up to you. While also your funny reasoning is up to you, just tell me, why do you always need to quote my posts when you decide to run epistemologically amok? Hutcho 8,443
I would simply go withTurnAzpi Ivan Cahill ColeLuiz LampsMarin Mata HazardDEMBA BALuiz and lamps is probably the strongest physical pivot we can have without mikel being here which we will need vs stoke. JT would start for me instead of Cahill but only if he is 100% as we don't want to start risking a re-injury by playing him too early. Marin to do the sort of moses role, and because i don't like just chucking oscar out wide, though we could put oscar down the middle and move mata wide; but thats not something i particularly want to do considering how effective (usually) Mata is from that position, and the rest is fairly self explanatory...
