Stoke City v Chelsea

If JT is fit he must start. Must play a more physical 11 tbh (well basically don't play Torres and maybe not Azpi at RB depending on JTs fitness) , Ivanovic at RB JT and Cahill then Cole at LB obviously. Lampard and Ramires in MF, then the 3 picks itself Hazard, Oscar, Mata and big Demba up top!

JT is not fit, and our problems are not in the defence, no reason to start JT, and I dont think Oscar should start this game.

1. We always play with one striker.

2. Parking the bus is stuipid.

3. Parking the bus with that lineup is even more stuipid.

1. This season we always play with one anonymous striker

2. We won the UCL with this style, if it's stupid so be it.

3. Without proper DM (Mikel/ Romeu), whatever line up put on the pitch is stupid.

What option do we had left? against physical stoke side we can't afford to play beautiful. Cesar will get bullied by Walters, There's Crouch/ Jones/ Jerome to deal with. I would take anything for 3 pts

Cech

Gallas - Carvalho - Terry- Cole

Essien - Makalele

Robben - Lampard - J. Cole

Drogba

THAT WAS A HELL OF A TEAM!
How is this possible when Gallas was part of the Ashley Cole deal? But yeah, it was a great team apart from that, only thing we really lacked was a proper RB.

Thats what is said about Torres before every game.

did u just compare torres to IVANOVIC... what a slap on my serb's face... the difference between the blonde whore and IVA is that after putting in a bad performance and almost costing his team a cup, one just shrugs his shoulders and gets on with his life while the other seemed distraught and near to tears and would be raring to go and amend things in any way possible...

A win would be massive, considering Stoke's record. I honestly think parking the bus of some type is dangerous and will not lead to a victory.

We have to realize the fact that we got players that are quicker and more technical than those of Stoke. If we are going to play deep, sit back and wait for Stoke to collect on corners, cut ins and free kicks etc then we will be in a bad spot. Instead lets have them chase the ball, play quick passes and keep the ball running on the GROUND.

I would line up like this:

Turnbull

Azpi - Iva - Cahill - Cole

Ramires - Luiz

Mata - Hazard - Marin

Ba

If you look at Stokes last 4 games, City won 3-0 and they arent exacly sitting back waiting for Stoke. Southampton did 3-3 against Stoke and they went out there.

We need to do the same. If we let Stoke do what they are best at, our chances of winning become much smaller. And this is a really important game.

Key thing today against Stoke would be monitoring and winning the second balls. It might be fine not winning the first challenges(depending on which area and situation) but it's crucial for us to get to the knock downs, 50-50s etc first. IF we don't do that, then we could struggle against Stoke, like we have against West Ham and Everton recently.

KEY STAT

Chelsea have won our last five

consecutive away games,

netting 16 goals in the

process.

If home comforts are hard to

find at present, away days

have been booming. A win at

Stoke will equal our record

sequence of six successive

top-flight away wins in league

and cup, previously achieved

in 2004/05 (twice), 2005/06

and 2006/07 (twice).

We outplayed Swansea the other day so if we just do the same thing today but with Ba upfront and cutting out the silly mistakes, then we should be fine.

And people saying JT isn't ready or he only played 45 minutes for the u21s - when has that ever stopped him?
