I mean notch, I can understand people defending the guy, but for the life of me I don't see how anyone can say he even looks decent. I can remember once (vs wigan) he looked like he might score....other than that, its been something to forget for him and for us. Noone could have seen this coming, but Carlo having this much faith in the guy and him letting us down is getting us nowhere. Drogba is our best striker, yet we choose to play Torres. It's not smart.

Has Torres bulked up? In first pictures of him training I noticed that he has strong thights, even stronger than some of our (my) Africans.

Not really, Drogba and Torres aren't going to be a strike partnership next year. Torres is the main man and will most likely just be the lone striker in a new 4-3-3 next year, with Sanchez and Neymar on the wings

If that happens, and Sturridge is on the bench, the entire management team can just fuck off.

Listen, I get it. Fernando is off form. And I'm not suggesting starting him over Drogba. But why not alongside him? I honestly don't see how it benefits anyone, club or player, to keep him benched. Just when does he get to play his way into form then? Btw, I completely disagree that he is worse than Anelka. I see more effort from Torres than Anelka these days.

Carlo can play the same line-up against Birmingham, but with Torres instead of Kalou, and maybe include Benayoun too. If not as a starter, then bring him on earlier in the second half than today. He and Torres both deserved more playing time today definitely.

But Kalou played as a centre forward today, so I would see no problem with both Drogba and Torres getting involved at the same time.
