Jase 43,479
How is that possible? If you take away his goal at Arsenal, we would have 2 points less and sitting in 4th now rather than 3rd.

Finish 4th and you have to go through a play-off round before getting into the GS. There's the big difference.
TheCount 146
The whole team is a mess,You cant have 4 players (oscar, hazard, mata, marin) take up 3 different positions on the field, which all only being good at 1 position, the same position,So yea the service is shit, but torres is also shite, but he'd wouldnt as shite if the service wasnt shit,The teams retarded, we have great players who cant play together and no system can really make them work, weve bought players once again and tried to make them into a team instead of reinforcing what we have with more. Popular Post! ja1 1,166 Posted November 29, 2012 Popular Post! Share Posted November 29, 2012 The service looks bad because Torres can't move. Does it not speak volume how Sturridge got 3 chances in 30 mins against WBA as a striker, while Torres got nil? Against City there was a moment where Cole had the ball on the left, and Torres was in the box, occupying the two CBs. Then he actually moved to the very far corner of the pitch, where Hazard already was. I genuinely think at that time he was literally hiding from the ball, cancelling himself out as an option. What exactly can we do if Mata, Oscar and Hazard can't provide for him? Maybe we should go for Iniesta, Messi and Ronaldo next time. didierforever, CHOULO19, BlueLion. and 6 others

Popular Post! Superblue 6,372 Posted November 29, 2012 Popular Post! Share Posted November 29, 2012 This moment should have been his chance at Chelsea. With Drogba (and to a lesser extent the likes of Anelka and Essien) now gone and Terry and Lampard out injured, the team is crying out for experienced heads to take up the mantle and lead the team. I currently look at who we have available and I see three players who should be able to give us that over everyone else based on their age and experience - Cech, Ivanovic and Torres.Cech has been largely excellent all season but can only do so much as a goalkeeper.Ivanovic has stepped up his game in the last couple to lead and marshall the defence.Torres has done nothing. He offers nothing, at least at the beginning of the season he was working hard but he isn't even doing that anymore. When we need him to step up, he hides away. For a player of his experience, that for me is unforgiveable. It's requiring the likes of Hazard and Oscar to carry the weight of responsibility on their young shoulders and at this moment they're struggling and need support. I've got no time for Torres anymore - he's moaned ever since he's been here and his performances and work rate have become increasingly worse to the point where it is now pathetic and disgraceful. And to think he said at the beginning of the season that he could fill Drogba's shoes... We brought in 3 creative players and the problem is still Torres. They aren't all only good at 1 position, Mata and Hazard are primarily wide players who can play more centrally, Marin is a winger-his time spent failing to replace Ozil as a central attacking midfielder was part of then reason they sold him; Oscar is the only true central attacking midfielder and he's pretty good played wide or in a deeper role.Under Di Matteo I thought the system worked well, just the defence was an issue-under Benitez with the same attacking line-up it's kind of gone the other way and become too defensive.http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/chelsea/9713162/I-can-fix-Chelsea-striker-Fernando-Torres-in-two-weeks-says-former-sprinter-Darren-Campbell.htmlThis seems worth a try; surely he should be lifting weights already?
