Not gonna happen, but I hope for a 4-3-3 of:

Courtois

Azpi Zouma Terry Luis

Ake -- Cesc -- Matic

Cuad Diego Hazard

BENCH: Cech, Iva, Cahill, Rambo, Mikel, Willian, Remy

Having a holder covering the wings and taking the pressure off Fab in the middle who can then work his magic. As for Ake - I prefer him over Mikel, he is far more able IMO, and also can share the workload with Matic and allowing for Cesc to primarily go forward, and can act as a false 4-2-3-1 if needed.

Will help us cope with the midfield congestion in the match. Thoughts?

It's time to start thinking in this crucial Match. There is not a match of 90 minutes, there is a match of 180 minutes, and play smart in the first 90 minutes of the ronda can be decisive.

I think Jose will raise this team, with great physical strength, with a defensive wall, giving much freedom to Fabregas, Hazard and Diego Costa to draw our counterattacks.

Maybe play with five defenses it may seem boring, but this kind of games are decided by small details, if we maintain our goal to 0 and we managed to score a counterattack, the round will be easier for us.

Those 5 defenses would form a security wall difficult to break

I think it might be an interesting option.

Courtois

Ivanovic John Terry © Zouma/Cahill

Kurt please.

Azpilicueta Filipe Luis

Ramires-------------Matic

Fabregas

Diego Costa Hazard

I hope your comments.

Regards.

Would love to go to an away match like this sadly no mates are Chelsea fans

Especially as its only across the channel aswell.

Fuck them. Go anyway. Id travel the 24 hrs to watch the game by myself. I went to London on my own to watch Chelsea play a couple of years ago.

We have the return leg at home right? Need to come away from Paris with at least a goal. We score two there and keep a clean sheet I think we have the tie in the bag

Champions League: Premier League hit by Uefa seed change

The Premier League will have only one top-seeded club in next season's Champions League after Uefa introduced new regulations.

For the 2015-16 campaign, the eight top seeds will be the champions from Europe's top seven leagues and the competition's holders.

The change in rules should lead to more of Europe's major clubs meeting each other in the group stage.

Previously teams were seeded by Uefa's rankings, based on results in Europe.

That meant Chelsea and Arsenal were both in pot one for the group-stage draw at the start of the season.

But, as there is no Premier League side left in this year's competition, only the English champions will be placed among the top seeds next season.

Better be us :blue scalf:

RM in the group stage would be a good test for our side. Don't think we've ever played them before, actually.

We have played them in Europe before actually, not in the Champions League but in the UEFA Super Cup and UEFA Cup Winners' Cup.

UEFA Super Cup in 1998:

Real Madrid 0-1 Chelsea

UEFA Cup Winners' Cup in 1971:

Chelsea 1-1 Real Madrid

Real Madrid 1-2 Chelsea (replay)

Which are the teams going to be in other 3 pots? Any approximated guess from anyone for the pots?

Tried to look up on the UEFA site ... couldn't understand it.

Pot 1 will consist of champions from the top seven European leagues (based on UEFA's country coefficient ranking IIRC) and the Champions League winner. And if I'm getting this right, the other three pots will have teams lined up based on their club coefficient ranking - in other words, it will be similar to how teams have been seeded into pot 1, 2, 3 and 4 in the past years.
