Mohammed Seif 1,451
And how many players actually stayed on for barcelona?Top teams, top players stay on. Tier 2 teams they play to get on a better team. Ronaldinho was barcelona, therefore gave them time to develop with no added pressure to make big name signings at their respective positions, that what ronaldinho did for Barcelona. So Juventus is a second tier team cause Zidane left? Milan is a 2nd tier team because Kaka and Sheva left? Chelsea is a 2nd tier team cause Drogba and Ballack left? Manu is a second tier team cause Beckham left? The lists go on and on if you get my drift. PSG must be a second tier team then cause Ronaldinho left it Players move from clubs to other for different reasons and you should know that very well. Money, age, glory, competitiveness, system, playtime and list keeps going. Leaving a club doesn't mean that the club is a 2nd tier team. History, silverware, fan base, financial power, local and national reputation, recent performances and achievements are some of the things that are used to classify teams. Barca is definitely not a 2nd tier team. You really need to know what you are talking about.Having said that, again PSG are not a bad side like I said before, but you cannot compare them to Barca, Bayern and RM. If they maintain stability for a few years and win international trophies then you can. Up till now, they are nothing but a team, with some good players and the owner is pouring money. Similar to Manchester CityZidane left cus Madrid gave Juventus the largest transfer in history (at that time), also they had Nedved waiting in the wings.Kaka left Milan to save them financially (or that is what he at least thought). Ronaldinho left PSG because he was getting too bored there and the fans got tired of his laziness. ( You should watch the documentary on ronaldinho) So, when I say top young talent from their respective nations go to the top teams in their leagues, what doesn't make sense....PSG and Monaco are the top teams in France. PSG has raibot, digne, coma, ogneda all on their squad. Top young french talent.I don't understand how I can't use PSG, when PSG is first in their league. Also, Real havent won an international champ since Jupp.

You know what, just compare PSG's history with Barca, RM and Bayern, you should clearly get your answer. I have nothing against them and AGAIN they are a good side, but overrated. It will be their first real test this year in CLAnd I don't know why you are asking me about young talents, cause I said nothing with regards to that matter. I think you got me mixed up with someone else. I am arguing the fact that you said that Barca was " not so long" an irrelevant 2nd tier team. Popular Post! TorontoChelsea 4,064 Posted March 21, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted March 21, 2014 People are acting as if we've drawn Bayern. PSG have a lot of talent, but they play in a second-tier league and haven't had to face a single good team in the CL yet this year. They have a lot of good players but also a lot of players that overrated by fans (Marquinhos, Lucas Moura, Pastore ) based on what they've actually accomplished.. That and I think they fit very well to Mourinho's sort of game plan. They are a team that likes to attack and, don't have a very good defence, and are not used to facing talented teams. We could easily lose of course. They are a talented team and we're not where we need to be in terms of consistancy and talent but this is still a positive draw for us compared to what we could have faced. You come in and you don't know what the original debate was.So Monaco's players go to Monaco for the atmosphere and not for the money??Good on them, especially Ricci and Claudio. Monaco is probably one of the best places on Earth to retire to and that's what these players have opted to do. If the under-20 talent is any good then they'll do what all great players in France do - leave. I responded... or go to psg/monaco. Just like la liga with madrid/barcelona or like bundesliga with bayern. it's funny you say that because the top players on the top teams in england are foreign players.... And every English person has the right to support their national team with a lot of heart like every other nation does support its national team. Now you can't stereotype people. I am quiet sure you support France. Some people are objective than others with regards to evaluating their national team.Yea, you followed Chelsea since 96' but your favorite player is Salah...Figures..You wouldn't even be on this board had Salah not signed for us. You be yapping away in KOP.There is no shame in supporting a player from my country and following his news yet never said he should start or play over Willian, Oscar or Schurrle but who are you to judge kid. You have got your history all messed up, you evaluate based on your passion, you compare Barca to PSG!!! You think you players leaving a team makes them a 2nd tier. You don't know if Ramires's tackle was deliberate, you think jumping or avoiding a tackle would be harmful......your talk before thinking mate. Hell yeah. Do I believe we will go through? Yes! However, it will be way harder than everyone here is predicting. PSG is no joke!!!

On one hand you say the best players in the Prem are foreign then seconds later you compare the National team to the quality of the Prem. When was the last time a team from France ever won the CL? Exactly...There is good reason for Chelsea to feel good about the draw, its much better than Bayern, Barca, Real and Atletico! And will give us a good litmus test going into the latter stages. They carry a threat but aren't anything to be feared. If they can get by us then and ONLY then will they be considered a legit team.
