On the other hand, there was pretty much nothing going forward. We were much too narrow and congested in midfield. I think we need to have a more creative midfielder in place of Mikel (and have Ramires take up that role) in order for us to create more chances going forward....& his name is Frank. We might take step forward in defence, but we also made two steps backwards in attack.From Rafa, I simply dont expect nice football. Today match was boring, we didnt try to score at all. We played on draw, while we are third, and we played at home. Wtf? We should try to win, not to keep clean sheet. 2:1 or 3:2 would be better than draw 0:0... All the long balls again, no creativity, Hazard, Mata and Oscar cant hold on ball...depressing realy...Silva is small too, but he can easily pass our strong defenders, while Hazard or Mata always fall on ground instead of dribble past opponent. This wont work...Too much lightweight midfield. Torres was bad again, I dont see any motivation or determination in our team either. OneMoSalah 8,886 Posted November 25, 2012 Share Posted November 25, 2012 Lets be honest, going back to the stats Leif posted about Benitez's Liverpool teams, they were very good at keeping clean sheets and conceding a low amount of goals. Jose's Chelsea was brilliant at keeping clean sheets. Imo to improve offensively we needed to improve defensively, Rafa said he wasn't satisfied with the offensive side of our game, he will improve that eventually, give the man time, that performance is the result of three training sessions. Our defence looked so much better so imagine after 6-8 more training sessions and more games, that back 4 could be brilliant together especially with the wingers dropping back to help out too. Today I can accept if the performance was a bit slow but against Fulham, who have lost their last 2 league games and have Hangeland suspended, a win is a must, no excuses, I want goals! Is it realy just me that cant watch that any stringer opponent (or even not so stronger) bullies them every time? They cant produce anything, Mata should dictate the game, be playmaker, but he is only trying to pass and nothing else. Hazard has no speed dribbling, creating chances or shooting. Where is the guy from Lille? Im harsh, I understand they all have bad games, but it was fifth game in row that they havent show anything that would be pushing our team forward in difficult situations. nadavTKL 1,787 Posted November 25, 2012 Share Posted November 25, 2012 I dont know where this season is going.. can we realy keep chasing the Manchester clubs? if not, whats our goal this season when we're realy close to exit the CL? connecting as a team is nice, but we'll probably get another manager in the summer and than whats the point...Realy frustrated at the moment, and the saddest thing is i lack energy to get fully behind the team like i alwyas have. Seems like we need a real miracle to get to somewhere this season. We're just not good enough to compete the strongest teams.
