Had we lost, we would have been 7 points of the top. Now we are 5 with Manchester derby in 2 weeks time. A point is a fair result. There was a definite shape to the team and once that settles down, the 3 creativities will start flourishing again. We have relatively easier fixtures ahead of us so lets hope we make full use of it,

Good point. We can go on a decent run now and who knows where we might be after that if we really start winning.

We went more for defensive solidity and played probably our worst offensive game of the season. We were pathetic and creating chances. Pretty lucky to get away with a draw so I'm happy with that. Azpilicueta will get voted MOTM because he's the newcomer and he was good but he was not nearly as good as Ivanovic IMO.

Ivanovic-13 clearances, 8 effective clearances, 1 interception, 1 offside won, 87% passing.

Azpi-4 clearances, 2 effective clearances, 3 interceptions, 0 offsides won, 69% passing

Ivanovic had more work to do as City were attacking mostly through the centre, along with playing long balls and set-pieces. But everytime they attacked our right side, I thought he did great. In this case I don't think it's fair to point to his newcomer status. I honestly think he was a bit better but Ivan was great too, though the physicality of this game was perfect for him.

David Luiz was good btw, let's see how often that gets mentioned.

Ramires was strong off the ball.

Sometimes it's difficult to believe our players practise together everyday considering the alarming regularity with which they fail to find each other....Mata,Hazard and even Ramires at times tried to dribble out of tight situations when they could easily have taken the safer option of passing to a player in close proximity, and in the process cheaply turned over possession inside our own half...c'mon guys,we all know how talented you are and you don't have to prove it to us in every match....it;s a team game after all, some our players seem to have limited faith in their teammate's abilities and hence are looking to take on too much responsibility for the sake of the team...which is precisely the reason why individual brilliance has outshone our collective quality even when we have played well...I hope Rafa has a strong enough spine to instill that in the team....
