Oh shoot! done some wikipedias and it seems the Brazilian transfer record was Denilson's transfer from Sao Paulo to Real Betis at the price of 21.5m pounds in 1998.

And 21.5m pounds = 27.3m Euros at current rate.

Actually latest "reports" are claiming that Inter are hijacking the deal.

You sure? Could be just short for Oscar's club Internacional and not Inter Milan?

Hahahahhahahaa. Spot On. And very funny (and confusing at times).

Inter chief Giovanni Luigi revealed: "I want the transfer of Oscar to be the biggest transfer deal ever in Brazilian football.

"And the Chelsea offer isn't that far from that."

WE closing in on him!

You late! :D

It all comes down now to whether the board make the necessary improvement on their bid. A 6-10 million increase is quite steep but I really hope that we do it because at 20 years old for 25 million there is value in the deal for us in terms of how many years he can contribute to the team and his re-sale value.

Personally I think he would be worth every penny.
