Popular Post! Bir_CFC 3,455 Posted August 29, 2013 Popular Post! Share Posted August 29, 2013 If our pivot wasn't so dog shit we wouldn't have so many people sucking Oscar dick for things he does that a #10 should never be doing. Mata is so much better as a #10, it's not even close. He's the best in the world imo. I love Oscar I really do, but I hate it when people highlight his qualities to try to put down Mata. If your game plan requires your #10 to drop back beside your CBs then you're doing something wrong. In games where you need your #10 to do a job, by all means play Oscar but we're Chelsea, most of the time we should be the one forcing our game on others and making them adjust to our players and not the other way around. Mouri_Matic 560
I swear I am gonna be so mad if anyone ever mention Oscar in the fucking pivot role again. Please don't destroy him, if you are gonna do that to him then you better sell him. Loving how people are still thinking about that pivot role when Lampard had been shit in it every single match he played in. It is clearly not going to work. We need a CDM and a box to box which is Ramires.
meetdoscar 335
Mata isn't a textbook no. 10 neither is he a midfielder he is just a forward playing in the no. 10 role and hence his high no. Of goals and assists. As excellent as mata is oscar is the better player as shown in the fact that when mata is playing no. 10 everything has to go through him and no other, else nothing happens but with oscar that is not the case, everybody is involved and everybody is brought into play and given more responsibility to show their creativity but lesser responsibility to defend which mata doesn't provide. For all the talks of mata scoring and assisting oscar is very capable of doing his fair share of those but let's not forget that some of greatest play makers in history hardly score up to 15 goals a season usually 10 or less and I am talking about the zidane, pirlo, xavi, iniesta, scholes, seedorf, deco so its not only about scoring and assisting but bringing a great balance to the team, bringing others into play, as well as creating chances to allow for the assist, the direct assist and for the goal.Mata is excellent no doubt but the fact that we are comparing his qualities to a 21 year old says something about oscar as well. I always thought oscar should be understudy to mata for at least another season but mata's complete absence in midfield in some big games like against mancity, barca and bayern makes me fancy oscar now looking into the future although this is no fault of mata but he lacks the energy, presence, aggressiveness and energy to coordinate adequately in midfield in such big games.Furthermore since mata is a forward a free role on the wing actually suits him since he likes to cut inside therefore he can still get lots of goals and assists, there i am sure he will still deliver but as for no. 10 going into the future he is not a midfielder. Before we did not have a midfielder to play no. 10 but now we have oscar and also kevin debryune for me.
meetdoscar 335
Mou on oscar Oscar 's an important player for us, he's one of the deals Chelsea made in the last year that has proved to be fantastic because now he's a regular for the national side and important for Chelsea. Stingray 9,441
Everytime I read this thread, I think: It must be nice to have double morals when talking about player qualities and performances. Hazard: doesn't perform, Mata:Not good enough for Mou, KDB: overhyped to the max, Lukaku: can't even start because he's a virgin .... Oscar will fix everything. Lol. bluesman2610 1,417
Oscar still has a lot to grow just like Hazard and DeBruyne all these players are under 23yrs old.. I think a lot of people who watch oscar especially in International games looks like the #10 who bosses the game on both ends and thats what we hope out of him for chelsea... I can not complain about any of the attacking midfielders we have aquired though all are bloody brillant Barbara
yuvala 2,167
Honestly I try not to get too "emotionally envolved" in team selections, the better player should play, doesn't matter how it makes me feel.Sometimes I feel like I really want Mata to play because I really really like him (not that I don't like Oscar) but I try to just ignore it.Both would get their fair chances and the better player would be the starter. Regardless of that, I'm sure they'll both get more than enough playing time.

zolayes 14,489
I think of all Oscar is the who has improved most since the start of last season...extremely strong defensively but his attacking skills aren't I think fully appreciated by some on here .most of all he is a TEAM player willing to play to instructions for the good of the team but I do feel he is wasted to an extent when put on the wing Barbara

robsblubot 3,595
Oscar has short passing, short dribbling skills that are extremely helpful in tight spaces aka big matches... He started playing soccer in futsal, saloon football with a smaller heavier (lighter these days) football. Always fucking hated playing futsal, because of the constant tight spaces, but that's why I'm a better tennis player than footballer. The fact a 21/22 yo consistently starts for Brazil should be all evidence one needs.
Land 331
I think we would have won earlier if he had finished the 1 vs 1 but I also think we would have lost earlier if he didnt protect the pivot and ivanovic so much lolGood game imo.
