Ronaldo 28
Not 'the back 2'. As a Regista or a fantasista as it is called here on the old continent :-) It means behind the 10 ( who plays 2/3 rds up the pitch) as a complete advanced midfielder. It would be the role Lamps takes now, which can be moved even a little more up the field when paired with a defensive 6 in that pivot. The pivot doesnt mean two defensive players you know! I think that role (not the poition - it is useless to just talk about positions without roles in footbal - it is not fm2013l) is called meia-armador. He is cut out for that!!that should be his position when he's old.

Sovieticus 743
The football style the team used isn't what sacked RDM, bad results are what sacked RDM. You could argue that the two are mutually inclusive but in the are not...Maybe we had bad results because it did not work out eh? Not sure how would they play now because they developed more. The Skipper 20,609
He won't turn into Mikel at all if he dropped back in midfield because Mikel got turned into a holding player/anchor man. Oscar would be different as he'd be more of a regista/deep lying playmaker. Stingray and BlueLion.
Rmpr 8,977
I think he would be a waisted talent on the pivot at a 4-2-3-1, however, he would be the best CM in the world on a Mourinho's 4-3-3! :blue scalf: Peace., The Mak and GhanaBoy
Badboy 1,526
I don't really rate Oscar to be honest I really don't think he's anything special. He keeps it simple and he's got a knack for getting the odd goal but he's nowhere near as good as Coutinho. I thought he would of been a lot more creative even from a wide position then what he is but we'll see how he develops.

Why on earth do people continue to compare players whose primary position and role is totally different from one another is beyond me!Those who says Oscar is nothing special or even already writing him off have well probably been spoilt by watching too much of Hazard and Mata already. Even when Oscar was in the #10, that's exactly how we can sum up his play without question.

I just think Coutinho has settled in better and to be honest he's causing havoc in this league. I'm not writing Oscar off though I just thought he'd be a bit better in all honesty but he has time on his side !

He isn't "miles better" than Oscar in any sense whatsoever - if he was, he'd would've easily been donning that number 10 shirt for Brazil.
