Barbara 15,149
It's underwhelming to watch Azpilicueta (bless his heart) being the FB on his side of the pitch. Luís would be much better. But all good things come in time. For now we have the Champions League...He's the reason we won the match today. I'm absolutely convinced Arsenal wouldn't be able to keep pressing us like that for much longer before his goal, but still he took matter into his hands and made it happen. He was lively throughout the whole match and it was a great performance by him.I don't have a lot of problems (or any problem) with our attack as some have here. Arsenal were very good pressing and marking, then things were a little bit in the air after the first goal and in the second we defended properly, I don't think we attacked badly. We were taking our sweet time when we couldn't quickly link a counter and we had a couple of good counters, for example the Hazard x Costa exchange - first when Hazard almost led their defender to score an own goal, receiving a past from Costa, and then Hazard finishing a bit too high receiving from Costa as well. We had five shots, three on goal and we scored twice. That's incredible numbers and people are spoiled imo. I'd rather have those numbers than ten shots, none on goal. We could have attacked more often, we didn't need though. We could have done better with a few counters, but it was an amazing match by us. I seriously can't find anything to complain, but I'm always positive, so maybe there's that. Stingray
Chelsea Legend 11 4,062
I wonder when people are gonna stop and realize that the reason Azpi doesn't overlap is because Jose WANTS coverage for Hazard on that flank. Its by design and not because Azpi is poor. When Hazard attracts two defenders it leaves space for others to exploit, we just have to start moving the ball quicker is all.Hazard was in the mood today, explosive and very influential! Whenever he was in the middle of the pitch he looked a threat and that's exactly what we need from him. OneMoSalah 8,886
What a run for the penalty, was Messi like, he just eliminated 3 players as if they weren't there and in general he was a threat through out the whole game. iseah100

borriske 330
7 - Eden Hazard has scored all seven of his PL penalties. Of players with 100% records, only Dimitar Berbatov (9/9) has more. Specialist.— OptaJoe (@OptaJoe) As a side note, does anybody know who our 2nd in line is to take penalty kicks. I suppose one of either Costa or Fabregas? mikeholiday 209
Penalty kicks: How do you guys feel about Eden's style of waiting for the keeper to commit and placing it compared to Frank's style of picking a spot and blasting it in?P.S. Im not aiming for an anti lampard campaign here. Im just curious. Personally I prefer Lamps's style but Eden's been 100% conversion rate so who am i to judge... ParNolio7 285
Penalty kicks: How do you guys feel about Eden's style of waiting for the keeper to commit and placing it compared to Frank's style of picking a spot and blasting it in?Eden's style takes a lot of nerve, confidence & technique. If one of those 3 qualities are off, impossible to score the penalty. If the qualities are all there in a consistent way, like is the case for Hazard, the penalty is a 100% success guarantee. So I prefer Eden's style IF a player has the quality to do so.In all other cases, don't even bother, just pick a spot and go for it. stroey, Eden2020 and Stats
