🇧🇪 Eden Hazard

Of course it's hypothetical at present but if there is interest in Baka and we can sell him for around similar money to what we can buy Kovacic for then I would do that deal.

Even though he has had a decent season at Milan, I just do not rate Bakayoko and cannot see him making the grade here.

I don't either, but I don't see him getting another chance at Milan. Who else is actively interested in him?

6 players for 3 spots. More than enough.

Apart from RLC is out long term, so realistically it's 5 players for the short term future. Will 5 be enough bearing in mind we're back in the Champions League next season?

I've seen that Inter may be but that could just be an easy link with Conte. I'm sure there would be some level of interest as his stock has been somewhat repaired after this season at Milan.

It's a shame that we have a ban because we could have enquired with Lyon about a possible deal for one of their midfielders that would involve Bakayoko. Unless we can loan him somewhere like that this season in the hope it will give us an advantage plucking one of their players the following season.

According to someone on Sky Sports, Madrid plan on playing Hazard on the right wing next season if they play 4-3-3 or as a second striker if they play 4-4-2.

Baloney. Even Zidane himself probably doesnt know where exactly will he play. It will all come after pre season.

Im not realy scared we are about to lose best player, but what we will invest the money into.

Pepe, Sane, Ndombele, Aouar, Chilwell, Semedo, Skriniar,...all should be on the lookout by the club, but with ban here, they will all move before we return on market and even then this board will sign bunch of crap with Eden money.

I doubt the club would even attempt to replace Hazard like for like if we could bring in players. I think the plan all along has been for the combo of Pulisic and CHO to be those very young talents who will succeed him long term. But now that CHO is out for months of the season we'll be relying on average ass Willian and Pedro again.

Our attack ain't scaring anyone in the top half of the table or in the CL without Hazard. We were already lowest scorers in the big 6 this past season with the best player in the league. Turning up at Anfield/Etihad/Spuds etc and the top CL clubs' stadiums with Giroud/Willlian/Pedro leading the line will surely be intimidating. 😒

It's easy to type out your wish list of outcomes. Negotiating them into reality is a completely different situation. It baffles me how people who have never negotiated a transfer deal in their lives, who have no clue about the facts of the deal, can nevertheless post with such certainty about how much better they could do it.

Let's give you the benefit of the doubt and say that you have the qualities to hammer out a better deal than Marina and her team of lawyers. Doing so would entail being prepared to walk away if Real don't stomp up.  Would you be prepared to walk away?

Bear in mind that Real Madrid are not Chelsea. In recent seasons we've engaged in long, and ultimately unsuccessful, pursuits of a number of players. In the end all of those players were prepared to sign new deals with their existing clubs and give up the opportunity to join Chelsea. That would not have been the case if the buying club had been Real Madrid. Eden is never going to turn his back on Madrid and sign a new deal with us. As negotiator, you know the implications of that fact. And you are still prepared to walk away from the table?

If the report is accurate, and Marina has negotiated £88.8m plus up to £41.2m in bonuses, then her bosses are more likely to give her a bonus than the sack.

My biggest concern is we could hahe sold him last summer for over 170m easily but have now settled for 88m upfront and 42m in add ons 🤣 which depending on what their based on might not actually fully pay out. For a club who is notoriously difficult to buy from unless their price is met ie. Diego Costa, Juan Mata, Oscar etc in the past it seems mad that we are willing to bow down to Real and let them sign our best player for 88.5m upfront with the possibility of another 41.5m which we might not get all of it. It just seems like something we wouldnt do as a club. Also considering we wont release our manager unless Juventus pay the full duration of his contract or wouldnt sell Willian for 65m because he was valued higher so why is it any different regarding selling Eden for less than the original asking price? If we didnt sell him and kept him another year how desperste do you think Madrid would be for a 29 year old free agent with huge wages and a huge sign on and agent fee?

Not sure why are people assuming the add-ons to be trophies count when it could easily be goals, assists, appearances etc (Telegraph reported the add-ons are EASILY ACHIEVABLE). And even if it's trophies, do people really think Real won't win something again soon with the way they're rebuilding their squad?

Don't forget though we only got £35m for Courtois. The leverage as a selling club just isn't there once there is only a year left on a contract.
