But I guess if you want to push it, then is it wrong to feel that Hazard hasn't always been committed to the cause, like this season? He may be grateful to us, sure, but when he's constantly talking about transfer rumors of him moving elsewhere, can you really blame the fans for thinking he's not as committed as he should be or he decides when to turn up and when not? Whatever the flaws the club have right now, constantly hinting a move elsewhere and then not putting in the performances week in week out aren't going to win over many fans. It's a little different but not a lot. One is directly saying something ,the other is indirectly saying something. Saying the same thing but just in a different way. Hazard is simply too honest for his own good. Most players think the same way Hazard does. Keeping their options open and evaluating each season. It's just that most players just lie their asses off. Even when they're looking to leave they'll talk about how much they love the club and never ever want to leave only for them to end up leaving a season later. As far as you thinking he's not committed and just decides when to show up and when not to. You're entitled to feel how you want to but do realize that those are assumptions not facts.  Tomo

Can't help if people feel sensitive about Hazard all the time... 3 minutes ago, Belgiannutt said: As far as you thinking he's not committed and just decides when to show up and when not to. Hasn't always played 100% when he could and should have, even if the team's performances overall have been bad.

Like i said it's a little different but at the end of the day the end result is the same. Okay fair enough not really sure though why that "sensitive" bit was needed. Hard to know that you didn't purposely leave Hazard out. Sorry but those are assumptions.

I actually disagree with the notion that he doesn't give 100% on the pitch (talking to the press and contract aside). That "he only plays when he bothers to show up", etc. That implies he's a messi-like player and the only reason he does not light the world on fire is because he can't always be bothered. I think a more realistic reason is that he has limitations (in technique and mentality both) as most players do. He merely has specific weaknesses that sometimes prevent him from influencing the game in a way fans would want him to - e.g. when the conditions on the pitch don't play to his strengths. This happens more often in CL matches, which are typically very physical and tight.

No wonder we always feel inferior when compare to the likes of Real, Barcelona, United... Hey its just my perspective. Some players I feel just deserve it because of what they contribute to the club, not just in results but also defining how we play on the pitch.  I used to say the same for Drogba too ...especially during that end 2011 and early 2012 when a lot of people on this forum were ready to give him the boot. I really don't think he is as good as this season indicates, much like Leicester weren't a team as good as their record suggested when they won. I honestly wouldn't take him over a few wingers in the league, but that is just my opinion. Certainly isn't a better player than Hazard IMO. Belgiannutt

A player that's never scored 20 + goals a season but is now on 45 goals with still 5-6 games left to play. It's just too big a jump to be sustainable imo. Normally players take a more steady rise when they up their stats. He'll probably go back to his normal numbers next season maybe a little bit more but i doubt he'll repeat this season and go into the 40's again.
